Losing the twin mummy tummy!

Hi everyone

This is not only my first diary entry but also my first post.. As a long time lurker, I've decided to take the plunge! I've lost weight with Slimming World successfully before and love the plan. So now here I am again after the birth of my gorgeous babies. I'm not going to group at the moment, just because an hour free is a valuable chance to sleep :eek::) But, if I feel I'm not cutting the mustard on my own, I will rejoin.

Any advice, tips and comments gratefully received :)

Here are some goals to keep me focussed..

My Goals:
Get into 12s
Lose a stone (12st 10)
Lose 10% - 12st 1
Get into 11s
Lose 2 stone (11st 10)
Get into 10s!
Fit my wedding rings back on!
Fit back into some non maternity jeans
Fit into the white cropped size 12 trousers



Monday

B - Strawberries, raspberries and peach Mullerlight
L - 4 Sesame Ryvita (HEXb), pile of salad, smoked mackerel pate (made with quark, lemon and horseradish) 4 syns
D - Pasta with courgettes, mushrooms, bacon, quark, with parmesan (HEXa) followed by Skinny Cow 4.5 syns
S - Muller Greek Coconut 0.5 syns

Oops, I forgot my other HEX :rolleyes: Have just realised how hard it is winging it with the diet and twins in tow, might try meal planning for next week to get a bit more organised, rather than wondering everyday.. 'eeek, what tonight?!'


Tesco shop arriving any minute and DH is off work today, so hopefully will have a minute to do some planning. Thinking of a good long walk later too if the rain holds off. Happy Friday everyone!

Didn't quite make it to do any meal planning yesterday, but did manage a lovely walk over the hills, good for the soul as well as the size of my bum :D Have some friends coming to stay today as DH is away. I think lunch will be a SW quiche, and SW chicken kievs for dinner and Sunday, leftovers for lunch and then lamb chops and roast potatoes for dinner. Yum!

Miserable weather here again today so probably no walking. The twins now weigh nearly 11lb each, they feel so heavy, especially when I hold them together. It's hard to imagine that I am carrying that extra weight around all the time.. Good motivation!

L - Yo Sushi, all free apart from some aubergine salad, approx 2 syns, including fruit salad. Was very restrained and didn't have my normal fried treats, but still enjoyed myself and it was all delicious.
D - Pasta with chicken, peas, mushrooms, fromage frais, pesto (2 syns), parmesan (HEX).

S - Mullerlight

I am also a twin mummy to two boys. They will be 2 in August. It's hard work isn't it!! I have rejoined slimming world today and want to lose 2-3 stone. I will be flowing your diary.
 
Hi Shelley, thanks for your message, I see from your photo you have a toddler too? You are obviously supermum!! I'm knackered and there are good days and bad days, but they are just so lovely and changing every day.

Also, we live close by, I'm near Stourbridge :)

Hmm, not a great SW day. More syns than I meant to have as out for dinner on Thurs night, also forgot my other HEX, also not enough fruit and veg. What can I say, one very unhappy baby (mouthful of Twirl and bag of French Fries to revive me..) and we're overdue a Tesco delivery, not enough fruit and veg in the house.

Must do some meal planning!!
 
Oops, I forgot to say I lost 1lb on Monday. Slight confusion though as can't remember if I was weighing myself with clothes on or off :rolleyes: I went for pyjamas as a middle ground :D
 
That's a fab loss! I haven't had a great start I need to get out and do a slimming world shop!! Done lots of exercise so hope that will help.

Yeas my daughter is 6 and the boys 22 months. It's hard work but they are a gorgeous :) will let you know how I get on at my weigh in Monday! Hope you have a successful week xx
 
Thanks Shelley, hope you have a good week too. Why not a good start? Are you keeping a diary? I think doing a good shop and getting organised is pretty key, it's so much harder when you don't have yummy low syn stuff in the house and to hand x

D - HM Fishcakes, baked potatoes, salad (3 syns for fishcakes? Made them ages ago and using them from the freezer, syns for breadcrumb coating.)

S - Muller Greek yoghurt (0.5 syns), Del Monte Mango Smoothie Lolly (5 syns, not worth 5 syns in my opinon :()

I am so proud of myself! Went out for dinner with the girls and I managed to stick to plan. I had a tuna steak with salsa, with a tabbouleh salad (with feta) and one glass of prosecco. So, 5.5 syns for the prosecco and probably another 10 for oil etc on the tuna, in the salad and the few cubes of feta I ate. Such a change from what I would have ordered a month ago! Must remember how pleased I feel for next time.

On that subject, going to visit a friend for lunch today and my parents this weekend. Hope it's not all too hard :rolleyes:
 
I am off shopping tomorrow so will get everything I need for a successful week next week!! Looks like your having a good week, really should start a diary too :)

L - M&S COU Chicken Basil Pasta Salad (my lovely friend bought this for me to have a low sun lunch at her house, and woohoo it was syn free! It's delicious too if anyone is after a lunch whilst out.)
D - SW KFC chicken (but with smash flakes instead of breadcrumbs so syn free. Can't decide if it was a success or not.. They were ok, but not as good as with breadcrumbs.) Baked potatoes, cheese (HEX), salad, dressing (0.5 syn).

S - 'Look What I Found' (1 syn), pear, peach, French Fries (4.5 syns), half fun size Twirl (3 syns).

We've been away for the weekend to visit my family, I took a portion of SW chilli down for Saturday night, but I succumbed half way through dinner to some of everyone else's takeaway :eek: No problem though as realised had had no syns and really enjoyed it :)
