Shiny new year, shiny new start

So today was the start of a new outlook. Im planning on a healthy year with sustainable weight loss.
Ive done lots of plans/ diets before with varying degrees of success but as, this time, im not in a rush tk loose weight for a specific event (my own or anyone elses wedding!!) im looking to being a little gentler on myself, taking the plan fully and seeing when i get there!!!! Im a swine for feeling like ive failed if i slip up and end up falling right off the wagon. I must try not to beat myself up, be honest with my tracking and see how i go. Im doing my official day 1 on monday when i go back to work but im yryi g to stop the rot in the meantime, getting sort of on the plan but with the odd off plan meal (going to friends for lunch on sat and my brothers for sunday dinner sunday). So my first WI wont be until monday 14th!!!
Still fairly full from 'finishing off' stuff yesterday so today is...
brunch -Scrambled eggs, grilled bacon & toms
    Milk in tea - HEA
Tea - steak, sw wedges, grilled veggies

1 quality street (cant throw them away!!) as a treat after tea - 2.5syns

Ok im being honest in this diary right?!?!? I didnt have any lunch - busy day. Long boring story. BUT!!!!!
When youre hungry what happens?? We ended up going out for tea - italian. I shared half a small portion of DH's calamari (small portion - 10syns for half???) followed by spaghetti with just a simple tomato sauce.

Calling it a green day and having the juice and a tbsp olive oil from the pasta as HEB'S.
Not so bad then - and ive walked miles today!
    Better planning tmro.

Tuesday - Hello me (dont think anyone else is looking). Already feeling slimmer - am doing this at home but have agreed to be weighed by a friend each frday now (starting this friday). I think I need the fear of the scales each week but have awkward work pattern in the next few months meaning Id miss/ find it difficult to get to classes. Having been to one before I know you get a lot from being in the same boat but my local class has a couple of 'gobby' women (for want of a better phrase) who tend to dominate. I know what Im doing, I just need something to motivte me to stick with it; hence the weigh in by someone other than me.

So the plan for today ... Im having a Red day today

    HEA - Milk in drinks
Bk - 30g Oats HEB with Raspberries

Lunch - Brown roll HEB, left over chargrilled veggies, Greek Muller 0.5syns

Tea - Cant wait for this!!!! Lamb and aubergine curry; its been marinating all night. Frying off the meat in 1tp of olive oil (2 syns). YumMMMMMMMM!!!!
(Going to save the chilli for tmro now - always taste better when they are left to 'rest' for a day or so!)

    Have a good day all

Hi sarah lou!! They are my hubbys creations (see why i have weight issues). The chicken and fennel is ...
Chicken (breast or thighs) cut into pieces
    Fennel 1 bulb
    Onion
Bacon (lean bit only) cut into strips
    Chicken or veg stock
    1 tsp french/ american mustard.

Fry the bacon in fry light, add and cook chicken. Remove from pan
Fry onion & fennel, add chicken stock (or wine if you have the syns!!)
Add the chickrn and bacon and just before serving, stir in the mustard.

Nice with rice, spuds or kn its own for a red day!!

    The curry

Lean lamb leg steak has been sat overnight in curry powder, 2 cloves of garlic, a little grated ginger and half tsp cumin.
Tonight im fryliting cubes of aubergine and finely chopped onion, searing the lamb then adding tinned toms and veggie stock to the lot. Smells delish!!

Doh - after all my planning!!! this morning I was in and out of the house with a kettle and scraper for the car - eventually got it defrosted, got in and headed off!. Realised about half way to work that Ive left my handbag, with my lunch in it, on the kitchen table. GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! No phone or purse with me either. Going to have to beg/ borrow cash and see what I can get at the shop around the corner instead. Silly girl!

Edit - So, I ended up having a pasta salad pot (pointed as 9 syns - what a waste!!) and some pineapple. Not the worst I suppose but not the syn free lunch Id planned. Lesson learnt, wont do that again!!

Tea - as planned! Also had 2 mini toblerones 3syns
