HK's Summer Slimdown Diary
Hi! I am ashamed to admit this is possibly my 3rd/4th diary on here. I have dabbled in Slimming World, with which I lost the majority of my weight so far. I then had a go at WW Online and lost half a stone over Christmas on it. Since then I have hung around 10 13 - 11 stone, I haven't really decided what plan to do so I've been fluctuating these couple of pounds. Anyhow, I've never tried SW green days - I always did red, which I found very restrictive, but for some reason never even considered green. As a poor student I'm back to do mostly green days with probably a few red/extra easy thrown in! Having read everything in the book about the green plan, I think it will really suit me...it seems to be the bits I love most about SW without the bits I don't like! I'm not a fan of cooked veg at all but I LOVE fruit, so the fact that on green you don't need to have one third fruit/veg strictly will suit me better. I'm not planning on giving up my fruit any time soon but buying veg and meat is so expensive, I think green should cut costs down for me quite a bit and hopefully also cut down some lbs!
Here's my first day's diary. I'm still new to green plan so if you see something I've done wrong, please point it out to me!
B: 28g bran flakes with a vanilla muller light and a sliced banana. Coffee made with skimmed milk and sugar free caramel Monin.
L: 2 eggs fried in Frylight with homemade sweet potato fries.
Snack: 42g bran flakes with some more milk from the allowance. Also had a hot caramel milk made with the Monin.
D: Jacket potato with 28g utterly butterly (7.5 syns)
Daily syns: 7.5 // Weekly syns: 7.5/70
Wasn't very hungry today. I adore bran flakes so they will be featuring quite a lot! I'm planning on eating lots of eggs, jacket potatoes with beans, eggs on toast, beans on toast, pasta with homemade sauce..open to any of your favourite recipes :)
Friday 1st February - Green
B: 35g bran flakes, sliced banana, vanilla muller light, coffee with SF caramel Monin and skimmed milk
L: jacket potato with spaghetti shapes and 22g mozarella
D: 90g ham, sweet potato wedges, 3 eggs in fry light
S: toffee muller light, caramel milk, caramel hot choc (2)
Daily syns: 2 // Weekly syns: 9.5/70
I hope I'm doing my green day right...I don't seem to have eaten that much compared to what I would on EE but I'm not hungry! Can't believe it's Feb already! I'm looking forward to summer so much, but to get there I have to take four law exams which won't be much fun. Also realised this morning that if I could lose 2lbs a week for 7 weeks, I'd be a stone lighter by the time I go home for Easter. It's a lot to ask though, just a nice thought.
Saturday 2nd February - Green
B: 35g bran flakes, banana, toffee muller light, coffee
L: soup with 60g wholemeal roll
D: jacket potato, beans, 45g LF cheddar
S: 1 Alpen light bar (3), 1 Options sachet (2), vanilla muller light
Daily syns: 5 // Weekly syns: 14.5/70
Ok so my soup is on the hob...red onion, tinned tomatoes, a red/yellow/green pepper :) plus a veg stock cube. Debating putting lentils in too but if I decide to do a red day tomorrow/monday then I can't have the soup, so I don't think I will.
Sunday 3rd February - Green
B: bran flakes, sliced banana, vanilla/chocolate muller light, coffee
L: 2 Alpen light bars, Options (2)
D: pepperoni pizza, easter egg
Oops. Cheat day? :o
