Hello :)

I'm quite new to this site so please allow me to introduce myself.

I'm 28yrs old, married and a mother of 3. My children are 2, 6 and 8.

I started Slimming World on 19th Feb 2013. Luckily my husband is loosely following Slimming World too so we're enjoying this together.

I don't go to group. I used to 5yrs ago but circumstances have changed and I can't afford it now, so I'm gathering recipes from the Internet and going from there. We are following the Extra Easy plan. I have found Pinterest to be invaluable!

My starting weight was 20st 9lbs. I'm currently 19st 6lbs.

I need to write down everything I'm eating to try and figure out why my losses have slowed/stopped.
This morning I weighed in after an amazing week full of healthy eating, non-cheating and exercise....I thought a great loss was definite but instead it was 1lb on. :( :( :(

Soooo. Here I am. Fat and unfit. I'm aiming to get down to 10st, there's no reason why I can't as you hear and read about others doing exactly this. But I will need support please. And suggestions of what I'm doing wrong.

Food diary for today:

Breakfast - 2 poached eggs, 2 slices 400g Warburtons wholemeal (HExB), full tin baked beans. (Going for the super speed aspect) No fruit in as we're due a shop so no SF. Strawberry muller light.

Lunch - SW chips, chicken breast cubes in syn free BBQ sauce and garden peas.

Tea - no idea yet. Possibly fanta zero sweet and sour but haven't decided.

Snacks - 2 Alpen light Summer Fruits (HExB) 1 vanilla cupcake with chocolate sprinkles (no buttercream, just icing) - no idea on syns. 7syns?

I use one of my HExA's on semi-skimmed milk for my coffee. I have about 5 or 6 o these a day l, each with 2 sweetener tabs in.

TOTAL SYNS - 7? Guess...

Well a tiny update. My husband made me go and join my local group last night so now I know what I've been doing wrong... You can only have 1 each of HExA & B - I've been having 2 of each some days but both HExB's everyday!!

That'll change now.

My consultant is lovely, she welcomed me straight back into the group as though the last 5/6yrs hadn't happened. There was another lady re-registering too, so at least I didn't start on my own.
She has set the group a challenge of eating at least 2 super speed foods a day, which I intend to excel at.
We're also having an Indian/Asian taster week next week so in planning to take my husbands current favourite...chicken biryani. It's delicious hot or cold, I hope they like it, it's synfree too!

Food Diary for today:
Breakfast - 2 poached eggs and baked beans. (1st SS food of the day)

Snacks - muller light raspberry and cranberry flavour. Full tin chopped tomatoes with added basil (I could eat these ALL day!!)

Lunch - Chicken, mash and broccoli with gravy. (Planned)

Dinner - chicken biryani and leftover chicken drumsticks.

Syns - 2 for the gravy.

Today I've been trying to up the amount of water I drink a day. I've also discovered I like black coffee so now I have options as to what my HExA can be from day today. It doesn't just have to be milk :)
This makes me happy because I love cheese now and again!

Food Diary:
Breakfast - 2 poached eggs on a sandwich (HExB). Bottle of water.

Lunch - SW oxo roasties and mushy peas.

Dinner - jacket potato, beans and HExA cheese. Side salad of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, onions and Beetroot.

Snacks - cherry bake well Alpen light, chopped tomatoes.

Syns - Alpen light (3), 2tsps light olive spread (2)
Total - 5.

Not a bad day all in all.

Hi there :)

I initially bought the books off ebay too but they ended up being useless really as went and joined and got new ones - waste of money for me. Plus I didn't realise you weren't supposed to sell them anyway until I read the back of the book! Felt like I ought to be sent to the naughty corner haha.

Good luck on your journey too, there's a lot of people at my group who are ex WW who have lost more with SW than WW and they're eating more than ever. That's encouraging! xx

Ok I'm back. I have rejoined slimming world after falling off the wagon late last year.

I joined a new group too which I hope will be better for me. My weigh day is now Wednesday morning. On Wednesday I weighed in at 20st. :(

But I'm not sad about it anymore, I'm using as ammunition for my determination. If I don't lose weight I will end up diabetic and probably heart disease as both appear to run in my family.

I've got too much to live for to give up. Again!

I made the super speed soup yesterday, how tasty!

It is officially my go to recipe now. It made a huge pan full yesterday but I'm down to the last few dregs at the bottom already! I just keep snacking on that... Can't be a bad thing can it? There's tonnes of superfree in it!

Feeling very full now. Best get the young one ready for nursery :)

So it's weigh in tomorrow. My first at this new group - I'm so nervous!

I know I've eaten well and made good choices but I don't feel different or lighter. I don't think I'm supposed to at the early stage but I still can't help but think the scales will stay the same tomorrow. :(

I made another batch of speed soup yesterday, so many friends have tasted it and requested the recipe, I took the last bit from the pan yesterday and took it to work with me.
We're having chicken tikka masala this evening for tea, someone recommended the recipe from last months magazine so gonna give it a try. It certainly looks delicious!

Anyway, I'm off to ring mum and see what she's up to.

Oops I thought I'd replied to this last week!! I've just got back from my second weigh in...

Last week I lost 3lbs and was so disappointed! I'd stuck to it 100%, I expected a better loss. But I soon got over myself and thought, well I'm not carrying that around anymore.

This week has been horrendous with hospital visits and serious drama in the family, a grab whatever looks healthiest week if you like - hopes weren't high at all but I lost 2lbs so I'm pleased with that!

I'm just making my breakfast - 2 poached eggs and some baked beans. I would have toast normally but I've just had one of those Christmas pud hifi bars - thought I'd give them a try this week since there's a shortage of others, they're an acquired taste definitely... I don't think I'll be eating them often!

Anyhow, ttfn xxx
