    Hi All

    I'm new to SW and went to my first meeting last Wednesday. Something has finally clicked and I am determined that this time, things are going to work

    I made a promise with myself that I will not weigh myself until my first weigh in on Wednesday evening. I have been keeping a food diary and just wanted to ask for an opinion if it looked OK or not. I find it strange that I am allowed to eat jacket potatoes and beans and snack whenever I want (on free stuff mainly) but will actually be losing weight!?

    Does this sound about right?

    Thanks so much in advance for any advice

    Day 1 -
    B: 2 X poached eggs and beans
    L: Salad and Mullerlight
    D: Jacket Potato with beans and salad.
    Snacks: Seafood sticks, apple, orange.
    HEa - Skimmed Milk for tea
    HEb- 2 Weetabix
    Syns - Small skinny Costa latte (ordered out of habit at work before thinking !!) Low alcohol beer (leaving drink after work!) Salad dressing = 11

    Day2-
    B: 2 X poached eggs and beans
    L: Salad and Mullerlight
    D: Fish, free chips and minty mushy peas
    Snacks: Seafood sticks, apple, orange.
    HEa - Skimmed Milk for tea.
    Syns - Mint sauce and Refresher ice lolly = 3.5

    Day3-
    B: Scrambled eggs (tiny splash of milk) and beans on toast (HEb)
    L: Cous Cous with spring onion and cucumber
    D: Soya spaghetti bolognese and salad
    Snacks: Cottage cheese and celery, seafood sticks, watermelon, orange
    HEa - Skimmed milk for tea.
    Syns - Salad dressing = 0.5

    Day4- (I worked a night shift from day3 10pm-day4 5am and then had to be up and out to meet people by 11am so didn't really get a chance to make myself eat breakfast, this is usually where I go wrong as I get really hungry and eat crap!!)

    B: Was asleep!
    L: Veggie sausage and egg sandwich (Heb)
    D: Tuna jacket potato and salad.
    Snacks: Watermelon, celery and cottage cheese, orange.
    HEa - Semi skimmed milk
    Syns - 2 x Linda McCartney sausages, 1Tbsp light mayo, salad dressing = 7

    Day 5- (Today)
    B: Wasn't hungry (not feeling very well)
    L: Seafood sticks and an orange
    D: Quorn meatballs, pasta and tomato sauce made with cauliflower, broccoli, peas and onion.
    Snacks - None yet but I'v made some syn free houmous so if hungry I'll have that with celery sticks.
    HEa - Semi skimmed milk for tea (I must be ill as I've only had 1 cup and I'm usually a fiend!)
    HEb - 2 Ryvita.
    Syns - Garlic Paste (ran out of fresh!), Bourneville highlights sachet, cocoa powder (made a SW choc cake with my ryvita) =4

    I really hope that I'm doing this right as if I don't see a loss on Wednesday eve, I will cry!!!

    Have a lot going on at the mo, have just bought a new house and sold flat so going through all the surveys and solicitor nonsense, going through a down phase at work and my beagle puppy has just hit that 'cheeky' faze!! Usually I'd be eating treats and crisps to keep my sanity but I'm enjoying finding nice syn free food right so. Let's hope that it continues!!!

    Heb: Not had it but if I'm hungry later I will have 2 Weetabix
    Syns: Salad dressing = 1

    First weigh in tomorrow evening. Not weighed myself all week, scared/nervous!!

    Hey Sam.!
    Just thought I'd pop in and say hi. My 1st weigh in was last week and I lost 4 and half pound.
    My 2nd weigh in tomo morning. So fingers crossed you will do well too.
    I don't have scales in our house so I can't keep weighting myself.
    Your food looks fine to me btw.! :-D

    Thanks for the reply

    All of a sudden, I've just got really nervous about not losing anything tomorrow! Having been sticking to plan 100% but I have been eating more this week than when not on diet so it's a bit weird! I get that it's healthier,less cal food etc, just a mind change as well I think!!

    Well done on losing 4.5lbs... thats fantastic! My weigh in is tomorrow eve, much prefer it to be in the morning but don't think my work would appreciate me doing a bunk!! Good luck for tomorrow x

    Syn free houmous is as below I'm not too keen on pepper so I added extra garlic, lemon juice and coriander for more flavour. You could add 1tbsp of tahini paste (4.5 sins) but I'm trying to be really good this week!

    Green: FREE
    Extra Easy: FREE
    1 red pepper, deseeded and sliced
    Fry Light
    400g can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
    20-50ml water
    2 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    salt to taste

    1. Place the sliced red pepper on a baking tray sprayed with Fry Light and roast until softened.
    2. Once the pepper is cooked and cooled, place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend, adding more water if necessary to create a smooth paste.
    3. Add salt to taste and serve with chopped up carrot batons or any of your favourite Free vegetable sticks!

    I know what you mean about feeling like you haven't lost anything. But I'm sure you have done really well. Like you I also do 100% everyday so I'm sure you will be fine.

    So GRRRRRRRR to my weigh in on 0 lbs. After trying really hard, it knocked me for 6. BUT I'm not giving up.

    B: Mullerlight and an apple.
    L: 2 x Ryvita, cottage cheese and orange. (stuck in a meeting and missed canteen and no time to get to shop!)
    D: Tuna pasta bake and veg.
    HEa - Skimmed milk for tea.
    HEb - 2 x Ryvita.
    Syns - French Fry crisps and 3 Jaffa cakes ( I needed chocolate to cheer me up!!) = 11.5
    1st Goal - Loss of 1.5 stone by Bestival (September) 1st 9.5 lbs DONE 04/09/13

    My BF always moans that I don't drink enough! I've been having a 1 or 2 big cups (bigger than a pint type cup thing) of water at work and probably not too much more. I have a squash at home but that's only after BF moans at me! I get really bad headaches sometimes so am trying to drink more!! x

    Hey hon don't give up.I only joined three weeks ago. ....a last at grotto lost NOTHING for her first two weigh ins then lost 8lb on her third!!

    She reckons a combo of getting "bunged up" with the fibre and big quantities of food, plus star week meant she didn't budge weight at all even though she stuck to it religiously.
