New to SW and I am starting my food diary here today because I want to be more open minded about food choices, especially breakfast. I find it hard to think of breakfast without cereal so I'm trying more options. Any tips would be fab, thanks!
Today I'm starting with a big handful of mushrooms sautéed in fry light , tinned plum tomato and a bit under half a can of spaghetti hoops. I'm thinking this is 2/3 super free and 1/3 free, no syns?
Lunch will be a homemade soup, leek, potato and tarragon. Was made with leeks, onion, 1 potato and tarragon, a stock cube and 100ml skimmed milk. Makes 4 portions. I'm counting milk as part of healthy extra choice. I'm avoiding hot drinks as the milk quickly adds up!
Supper: home made arrabiata sauce and tagliatelle. Syn free sauce. Large side salad
Not sure how I will use syns, maybe in some Parmesan on top of tagliatelle and a fat free Greek style yogurt. Options hot choc this evening?
I'm tw weeks in and 4 lbs down. Set a target of 12lbs for Christmas, so I have 8lbs to reach that target. I'm doing SW at home and no access to lifeline online.
Also just wanted to add a bit about me.
Started 12st 8, currently. 12st4.
I have two young girls aged 4 and 2, eldest at school now and youngest at home with me. Luckily I am able to stay home until dd2 starts school, this gives me a little time to prepare food and eat breakfast later once the children's Cheerios are safely eaten and put away! Dh is vegetarian and eats fish, so evening meals consist of vegetarian meals and fish dishes. I try to incorporate protein via meat at lunchtime but I'm slowly growing out of the taste of meat (unintentionally). I use quorn mince for the 'meaty' dishes like chilli and spag Bol.
I'm following EE plan. But considering trying red and green. No idea where to start and find the green red a little more confusing! Will read up today.
I don't tend to drink alcoholic drinks anymore so treats to me are chocolate or cheese based. I'm a self confessed chocoholic, I'd happily eat a few bars a day and not feel full or bothered and that's how I have managed to Re-gain a stone since this time last year sadly!
We are off on a holiday next march for 4 weeks so this is my ultimate goal, I want to weigh in at 10stone max by then.
I'm trying a red day today . Never done it before, always Ee for me.
So breakfast was 40g bran flakes HEb and 100ml skimmed milk HEa. Tea and splash of milk.
Snack - banana
Lunch was 180g potato HEb , tuna and 1tbsp light mayo 2syns. Tomatoes, cucumber and celery. Splash of balsamic on salad.
Snack will be apple
Supper. Chicken breast, sautéed leeks with tarragon to flavour (fry light) large green salad and tomatoes cucumber.
Fat free yog 0.5 syn
Options Hot choc 2 syns
Does this sound ok for red??
