Ciara's Countdown to Christmas - restart and refocus :)

Ok, so I've had a bit of a hectic year. I started my journey in September 2012, starting at 12 stone 2 pounds and losing about 2 stone. At the start of this year some health problems came up, resulting in surgery. I was out of action for a while, but my time in hospital really made me want to look after my health more than often. Even though my particular problems were unavoidable and not caused by lifestyle, I just felt really motivated to keep myself as healthy as possible. So I kept my weight off. However its slowly started creeping up, a bit from the stress of being unwell and now from work.

I've had enough! I'm starting to feel uncomfortable and I've lost control of my eating again. I tried weight watchers for a while (and a bit of calorie counting), which worked and got me to my lowest weight, but when I got there and stopped using weight watchers I lost control a bit. SW was just more suitable for me and the way my head works I think.

So here I am at 11 stone 2 (cross with myself for letting it creep on ) and looking to feel as good as I can for Christmas. Of course I want to keep it going after but I'm giving myself Christmas as a target to keep myself in line.

So I'm rejoining SW online tonight. I'm off work and at home with my parents until Sunday so its a bit more difficult, but I'm ready to get on plan completely when I'm back feeding myself :) Preparation is the key.

If you've managed to read through my ramblings, well done and thanks :)

Planning my food for next week. Money is very tight at the moment, so I'm going to try my best to keep costs down.

I'm planning on making spaghetti bolognese, jacket potatoes, stir fries, pasta bake. For breakfast it will be Weetabix, banana and almond mlik, and eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes at weekends most liekyl ,just for a mix up. I like to make portions of food to freeze, so I may not even make all these meals, these are just my intial plans. Monday will be Weetabix brekkie, jacket potato with beans and cheese for lunch with salad and spag bol for my dinner.

Your food plan seems just right. Planning ahead for a couple of days at least is really beneficial. Have a great week x

Thanks ladies.

Jenna, I've been losing weight but I feel its a bit of a fluke I've been very bad with the plan. I'm off to Sainsbury's now to buy food so I'm making myself a big breakfast today and getting some nice stuff for the week. Need to get some stuff to snack on as well to keep me away from chocolate and stuff, thats whats killing me right now. Must pop into your thread to get some motivation!

Just had a big breakfast (well lunch by the time I actually got to eating it I suppose!). Rashers, 2 linda mccartney sausages (4 syns), Wholemeal toast (HEB), 2 eggs,, some flora (2.5 syns), beans, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes. Forgot to buy fry light so used 2 syns of EVOO.

Also had an activia 0% yoghurt earlier. Feeling full and back on track. Just got to remind myself I can eat plenty, just have to be careful with what I'm eating.

Planning on making some spag bol for this evening and for my lunch tomorrow.

Hey hun, it's ok-ish, making very slow and steady progress, making more of an effort now. Had my Christmas staff party last night so wasn't on plan there, didnt stuff myself though. Had a SW fry up this morning and it went down very nicely. Going to try to keep on it until Christmas hols. I heard on the radio the other day that by the time we go to bed on Christmas Day, we've had about 8000 calories on average. Oh my!
