Hi all. I'm Helen a 44 year old single mum to a daughter who's 8 an a baby boy who is 14 weeks. I had gestational diabetes whilst pregnant so didn't gain too much which I have now managed to lose. Started back at class in september but I've been ill so couldn't get to class or be bothered to follow SW. So I only lost 2lbs. However in the last 2 weeks I've lost 5.5lbs which I'm pleased with. My consultant is leaving though- her last meeting will be 27th december. I'd said a couple of weeks ago that my christmas wish was to lose 14lbs. I'm now really wanting to aim for 12 stone 6 which would put my BMI into overweight rather than obese. I'm 13-3.5 this week so have 11.5lbs to try and lose in 7 weeks which is certainly achievable if I stick to plan. I've started this new diary to try and make myself accountable and hopefully help me to keep on track.
Better have a look at my stats now and update them.

Quite a productive morning while G was at grandmas and N was asleep (he had his second immunisations on thursday and seems very tired today)- boiled a small gammon to roast later, made savoury mince, and a rather strange egg curry that I had with a bit of lo couscous for lunch. Not sre whether we'll have the mince with mash and veg for tea or have the roast gammon with roast potatoes and veg. Will see what G fancies and freeze the mince if we don't have it.

Hex A- 350mls skimmed milk.
Hex B- 2 alpen lights.

Plan fo the rest of the day is tuna salad and bread for lunch and shepherds pie with a mountain of veg for tea. Just hope I can stick to it.

If I can stick to SE today I might go back to EE tomorrow.

Well I've been pretty damn crap! Gained 1.5 lbs at WI last week. Behaved on friday but have slipped since then. However I am feeling better in myself and am going to try a couple of SE days to get me back on track.
So far I've had my coffee (hex A1) and a slice of toast (hex B 0.5) with half an EL cheese triangle (0.5). Plan for dinner is a big salad with boiled eggs, bread and possibly some tuna. Tea is pork stew, mashed potato an piles of veg. Supper treat will be an alpen light. Going shopping shortly so will get some fruit for snacking on.
I have a little left over chilli so tomorrows dinner can be a jacket potato, chilli, cheese and a big salad. Tea will be chicken, rice, veggies and possibly a fromage frais sauce with mushrooms and onions in. ll sounds really nice- just hope I can stick to it.
Got some more chicken breasts so will have fajitas for tea on friday might treat myself to one tortilla but the rest will be in iceberg lettuce wraps.
Unfortunately I'm still not well enough to do any exercise but I'm hoping for some more antibiotics from the drs this morning to get rid of it once and for all.

Hmm well that didn't last very long!!

I went to a meeting yesterday because it was my consultants last day after not going for 5 weeks and I'd only put on 2.5lbs. Really pleased because I've not been sticking to plan at all.
Anyhow as of today I'm back on it. Taken all my christmas excess to my mums and feeling really good. We have a holiday booked for the end of October so I have 10 months and I want to lose at least 3 stone by then.

Today-A-skimmed milk. B-2 small wm bread.

Breakfast- milky coffee.
Dinner- tuna, mayo (3) sweetcorn, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, grated carrot, onion, bread.
Tea-roast lamb, frylighted potatoes, parsnip, carrot, leeks, sprouts, cauli and broccoli, gravy and crab apple jelly (5).
Might treat myself to 1 white lindt ball but will check the syns first- think they used to be 3??

ETA- the lindt balls are 4 so I had 50mls sherry to help me to sleep instead!

Syns- 12/15.

Was hoping to have a walk today but its pouring it down. We'll go if it stops but a whiny child and the pushchair rain cover aren't very enticing!!
Going to try and plan the weeks food from the freezer today too- its full to busting!
