Libby's Diary!

Hi! I'm Libby. I'm a student from Cambridgeshire. *waves!* I'm currently sitting my A-levels before going to Uni in October 2014 to study Psychology and Philosophy.

I'm starting a DIY slimming world and intending on using a mixture of all three plans to work out what works best for me, or simply just to change things up! I currently weigh about 9st 5lb (Will check tomorrow at first 'official' WI!) and am planning on doing weekly weigh-ins. I have been on/off calorie counting for the last 2years, and from both this and doing the WW propoints plan, became addicted to weight loss. This, in addition to a traumatic period in my life with bereavement, resulted in a bout of anorexia and depression, and a size 6 being too big in some cases. I feel that the SW plan will give me the boost I need to eat healthily and regulate my food intake without becoming too obsessed!

Currently I have tried to keep up with my exercise regime and do at least 1 hour of exercise every day. This includes cycling/biking, zumba twice/week, aerobics DVDs and a visit to the gym once/week. My goal is to lose weight to a point where I am satisfied with the way I look, but am not putting my health at risk.

Thank you very much for reading, I will begin to update my food diary tomorrow with an extra easy day!

I look forward to getting to know some of you! xx

Libby

Thanks Sian! Was an okay day - work felt very slow however! ^^

First weigh in was at 9st 5.6lb, which is more than I expected but hey, gives me more room for improvement!

I'm feeling more full than I do when not doing SW... surely that can't be right? :S

Extra Easy Day - 15/15 syns

B: Oat so simple (1.5, hex b), Apple
L: Jacket potato with margarine (1), 1 tbsp.cottage cheese, 20g reduced fat cheddar (1/2 hex a), salad, 1 slice thin ham, 1/3 tin baked beans, ex. light philly (2)
T: Salmon, express golden vegetable rice (2.5), frozen veg steam bag
S: Galaxy (3), milkybar (3), banana, pear
D: Coke zero, tea with splash of milk (1/2 hex a)
Workout: 75mins cardio in gym

Hope you've all had a fab day!

You sound like you have its all planned out :)

Do, however, be careful because I have learned that an obsession with food (I had the polar opposite to you in compulsive overeating) never really goes away and I really have to keep checks on myself. Keep posting on here and it really helps you to be able to go back and look at your thoughts and what you eat

Good luck! I look forward to reading about your journey :) x

Thank you! I agree, it's really easy to slip back into bad habits! I have to keep telling myself that drinking something that isn't sugar-free won't kill me, and I need to lose the feeling of guilt whenever I eat something slightly naughty as it's a vicious circle and ends up in binge eating!

Today was another EE day and quite a lazy one at that! After work I've just spent the day studying - and booked my charity skydive in Feb for the Make a Wish Foundation! Now there's no turning back.

Breakfast: Fruit + fibre and grape nut cereal (hex b) with milk (hex a), banana, apple
Lunch: Cabbage, carrots, chicken breast stuffed with ex. light philly (2) wrapped in bacon with 1/2 jacket potato
Tea: Steamed veg, dry fried egg, cottage cheese and lean ham
Snacks: Chocolate (5), 2 mini mint choc finger biscuits (1.5), frozen orange juice lolly (3), pear, weetabix oat bar (3.5), 2 muller light yoghurts

Syns: 15/15

Hope you've all had a good weekend!x

Welcome, Brittany! :)

Thanks Lily! I'm not using any SW tools.. just doing it myself. There's enough info on the internet and enough support on minis to manage I think but if I start to struggle then I might consider them :)

Just got a day of studying today.. yay! ^^

If anyone is able to spread the word, it would mean a lot to me. I'm doing a skydive next Feb to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation. Thinking about my future and sitting my uni admissions test made me realise that i should just be lucky that I have a future to even worry about. Olivia Moor is fundraising for Make-A-Wish Foundation UK

Popping in to say hello! I have also got a history of eating disorders, although am recovered now I struggle with binge eating so I can understand a lot of where you're coming from. Good luck reaching your goals xx

Thanks Claire! Did you by chance ever do WW? xx I recognise your picture I think! :)

Hiya, welcome! :)

Today's food has been a bit rubbish!

B: Milk (Hex a), Cereal (Hex b), Banana, 2 Apples
L: Wholewheat spaghetti, salad, frozen veg and a homemade tomato and basil sauce
T: Soup
S: Chocolate (20.5) aaagh!, 2 muller lights, weetabix bar (Hex b) and I also had a slimfast shake.. which is offplan; going to count it as a hex a as I really don't want to syn it, I think my meals today will compensate. Got 1 more to use up then I'll follow the plan more strictly.
