Right, this is it...I've been messing around for far too long...
Keeping a diary will focus me, I'll post failures as well as successes, maybe that will be the turning point
If anyone reads this, please feel free to comment...I'm a tough old bird, don't take offence and would welcome your wisdom
Sunday
I'm doing extra easy, but, living in France I cannot get all the goodies those of you in the UK have access to, but will substitute as and when

HEA 250 mls SS milk
HEB 1 slice wholemeal bread...96 calories, so presume thats OK

B Bread with scrape of 15% spread (1 syn I think), dry fried egg and 1 tsp ginger jam (1 syn) + a pear

L home made pumpkin and red pepper soup. Fat free yogurt

D SW thai duck curry (2 syns) with fragrant jasmine rice, sugar free jelly with 0% fruit yogurt

Syns 1 fun size Twix 5 syns
If I'm correct, thats 9 syns, so may finish off my HEA milk with a tsp chocolate Options...1 syn

Right, thats it, commitment made. I eat loads of free fruit during the day, but I think thats OK

Day one done!
Today, not too exciting
b. 2 weetabix, banana & some of HEA milk
L pumpkin soup and a pear
D rest of fabulous duck curry with jasmine rice. 4 syns
so, just 4 syns so far
fun size Lion bar tonight 4 syns
have a banana that needs eating , so probably have that with some 0% fromage blanc mixed with a tbsp low fat creme fraiche. 2 syns, makes it much more creamy.
total syns 10, so a tsp options with the rest of my HEA milk, before bed

HEB Weetabix

B as above, with banana
L bacon, egg and beans. Brown sauce 1 syn
D salmon, mash and peas, tartare sauce 2 tbsp 2 syns
i seem to be eating more than when I'm not dieting...ah well, come Saturday the scales will reveal all

walked for 45 minutes yesterday.
 
Today
B cereal, HEA milk and banana
L pumpkin and red pepper soup, cold meat and salas with pickled onions and vlf mayo 0.5 syn
D cauli cheese and jacket spud...6 syns
E 1 fun size Lion bar
snacks...loads of fresh fruit.
exercise...walked 2 kilometers, not much, I know, but since my leg was paralysed durng an operation, walking is difficult....hence the weight gain
 
1 butternut squash or big chunk of pumpkin
2 red peppers
2 onions
2 cloves garlic
frylite
2 pints chicken stock
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/2 tsp coriander
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp powdered sweetener
5-6 shakes Lea & Perrins sauce
small pot 0% fromage frais
seasoning

peel and dice squash
cover and cook in microwave for 10 minutes
deseed and chop peppers
chop onion and garlic and fry till soft
add pappers and squash
add stock, seasoning and spices
bring to the boil and simmer for about 20 minutes, till peppers are soft
leave to cool a bit then whizz till smooth, then stir in fromage frais

Nice recipe Lornameg, might have to try that myself. I'm new to this but getting loads of inspiration.
 

Up early today, bit of a shock to the system, physio appointment at 8 am!
B bacon sarnie with HEB bread and 6 syns for 2nd slice...1syn for tbsp brown sauce. Pear.
L omelette and salad VLF mayo 1 tbsp 1/2 syn
D Chilli and rice, syn free, DH's speciality. Sugar free jelly 1/2 syn, with fat free yogurt
Loads of fruit during the day.

Today looks like being a quiet day.

L cold meats and salad, pickles and hard boiled egg 2 tbsp vlf mayo...1 syn
D home made steakburger, SW chips and the rest of the cauliflower cheese. 5 syns
thats 6 syns so far, so a fun size Lion bar at 5 syns should. be fine
Having trouble with the evening munchies, must be stronger as its daft to stick to plan all day then blow it when I'm not even hungry!
Have just come across the syn free rice pudding recipe...sounds very good, will try this for pudding tonight

L small jacket spud beans and half HEA cheese, 15 g, other half on milk for tea. Pear and orange
D SW chilli and julienned courgette instead of rice. SW rice pudding.
snack....1 fun size lion bar to eat in bed...utter decadence, 1 options hot chocolate....2 syns
total 9.5 syns
exercise... 3 x 15 minute walks round the house

 

weighed again this morning, silly thing to do...has me 1 lb heavier again!
B skipped breakfast as had BAD snack of crispbread and peanut butter at midnight!

D Spanish chicken bake from Hairy bikers slimming recipes....3 syns for a bit of chorizo, but so worth it. Cabbage.
pudding, sugar free jelly, 0.5 syn, fruit yogurt and 1 heaped tbsp low fat fromage frais..2.5 syns
syn total.....8.5
so far so good, but have got the bread maker going, the smell is gorgeous. Maybe half a slice for the rest of my syns
exercise...walked for 30 minutes this morning, will walk more around the house this pm whilst the rugby is on TV

 

A wet, grey day here in France...
going to the UK on Thursday to spend a week with daughter and grandkids...a test of my SW resolve, but I'll do what I can.
today

D salmon, peas and mash. 2 tsp tartare sauce...3 syns
syns so far 5.5
exercise...will get my trusty wii out and walk and step on it for 30 minutes

Hope your weather won't be too bad as I have hired a car to drive from Liverpool to Scotland!

still full of cold, thanks to very affectionate cuddles from 4 year old snotty grandson...not complaining!

DH is eating out today, so can have a yummy vegetarian meal. I could happily be vegetarian, I think, except for bacon and chicken breasts.

Had a choc fest last night...stupid, so am aiming to recoup a bit!
