My SW food diary - Mostly Green and some EE

Day 1 - Breakfast

Chopped banana topped with Activia 0% raspberry yoghurt
Cup of liquorice and mint tea

Feeling motivated
breakfast was nice but yoghurt tasted a bit artificial sweetener-like

3 stone to lose...
 
Sounds good, what's for dinner?
 
Went to visit a friend and she was making lunch. Told her I am trying to lose weight so she said she would make it a healthy lunch. It was a wholemeal pitta but now I have looked, is it only weight watchers ones that count at HEB? Think this one was from Lidl.

so lunch was:

wholemeal pitta filled with 3 slices wafer thin ham, sliced tomato then toasted in sandwich press
side salad of chopped peppers and cucumber
2 black coffees

and therefore I am not sure if I have had a million syns on a non-WW pitta or a good lunch!
 
Wouldn't worry were it's from, pretty much all the same
Sound nice though and you survived lunch out! Well done
 
She offered me cheese, I said no. She offered me pesto, I said no! I don't normally eat ham but it was a better option to cheese! And I normally drink gallons of tea with milk but today had black coffee - was better than I had expected. How have you got on today?
 
Day 1 - Dinner

so since my green day had gone awry with ham at lunchtime, it has turned into an EE day. Dinner was:

two smallish potatoes baked
topped with tin tuna in spring water mixed with 3 tbls natural yogurt and 1tbls lighter than light mayo (0.5 syn)
salad with chopped cucumber, chopped celery and cooked frozen peas
salad dressing made with yoghurt, balsamic vinegar, salt & pepper

followed by 0% Activia raspberry yoghurt

Very full!
 
Good yeah, toast and peanut butter, ravioli for dinner and chilli and rice for tea. Had small bar of choc from aldi out of my syns today too. Said no to bottle of wine when husband offered to get one on way home, that's good going for me! Happy day :)
 
How many syns are peanut butter? I love PB!

Well done on the wine refusal - we have a house still full of wine from Christmas etc - I am trying to stop it calling out yo me!!
 
I think I might do this food diary differently! Just thinking would be better if I put whole day menu as one entry as easy to scan back over - rather than trying to find breakfast, lunch and dinner.

i think I can still have a HEA before bed based on what I have had. Anyone dare to assess today's menu? (I am going it alone as nearest class 60 mile round trip):

Day 1


Breakfast:


Chopped banana
0% Activia Raspberry yoghurt
Liquorice & mint tea


Lunch:


Wholemeal pitta bread (Lidl, now think got this wrong and only WW are HEB?)
3 slices wafer thin ham and sliced tomatoes
All toasted in sandwich press
Black coffee


Dinner:

Tin tuna in spring water mixed with 3 tbls natural yoghurt, 1 tbls lighter than light Hellmanns mayo (0.5 syns) and ground pepper
Salad of chopped cucumber, chopped celery and cooked frozen peas
Salad dressing made with natural yoghurt, balsamic vinegar, salt & pepper


0% Activia raspberry yoghurt

Hey lovely, sounds like you're doing really well. You had your Healthy Extra B yesterday as your wholemeal pitta (offically they should be co-op ones, I think but it's never hurt my losses tbh), but you didn't have your A choice? You could have had milk in your coffee or 30g cheddar on your jacket potato? Just worth bearing in mind as they really do make a difference. Good luck with your journey :) x

Hiya, just checking in, how are you doing? No menu for yesterday?
 
Yep but not a good one! Was away all day at inlaws and not back til 1am. This is how yesterday shaped up!

How are you getting on?

Day 2

Breakfast:
Chopped banana
0% Activia Raspberry yoghurt
Tea with semi skimmed milk (some of HEA)

From here on in, it went pear shaped! Invited to inlaws for New Years dinner. Knew there was no point saying I was trying to eat healthy - everything they eat comes from the freezer or out a packet so would just cause stress! So instead, I thought I'll not have lunch and just try and eat less. By 4pm I was nearly gnawing the table and ended up eating a couple of cheese straws and peanuts they had out.

Then I had:
Steal pie incl half a sausage and gravy with 3" square of pastry
One aunt Bessie's parsnip
One aunt Bessie roastie
Two boiled potatoes
Boiled cabbage (with butter)

Later in evening I had a few handfuls of salted micro popcorn.

I am not even going to try to calculate syns but draw a line under it and start again!

I had no pudding and only drank sparkling water

Total syns = unfathomable!
 
Hey not to bad tho!! Your right to drawing a line under it and start a fresh today, don't dwell on syns!
Not too bad, weighed today first weigh in since 06.12.13 and I gained 1/2lb! I'd been good this week so think I might have undid some of the bad done because I was a complete pig! Ha

So hoping this week goes well and that I have a good loss on Saturday
 
You are right, I could have been MUCH worse!

1/2lb is nothing so you should be delighted in that since 6th Dec - that could be the difference from one end of the day to another just with fluid etc. the last time I recorded my weight was 28th Oct (I have been in denial!) and I was 13st 10 so I have gained 6lbs since then. Denial is apparently very fattening!

Well done, I think that's very impressive to have remained virtually unchanged over Christmas. Fingers crossed for big change next week x
 
Yeah it would boost the confidence that I can do it xx that's what I need

Day 3

Breakfast:
Chopped pear
0% Activia raspberry yogurt
Cup of tea with semi skimmed milk (from HEA)

Lunch:
One slice wholemeal toast from 800g loaf
Topped with Philadelphia extra light (rest of HEA) and cucumber
Apple
Banana

Dinner:
Baked potato
Quorn chilli
Salad

All this was selected from buffet at friend's house so don't know if any oil used to bake potatoes or to make quorn chilli. This will all get easier once all this entertaining stops! Doing a dry Jan means no alcohol syns and plenty fluid being drunk in form of sparkling water!

Snack
1 wholemeal pitta (6.5 syns)
Homemade houmous (6 syns - guess!)
Grapes

Total syns = 12.5 (approx!)
