Ok guys so this is my first official day on Slimming World! I have tried several diets before and failed miserably. It's not the diets fault it is my mindset however I believe that this has now changed. I need to lose 100 pounds (yikes!) but I am going to do it a pound at a time. I currently am 26 years old and weigh 232 pounds. I really don't know how I got this big. But I am hoping that Slimming world will teach me a new way of life and break my chocolate addiction! I have put off getting engaged to my other half who has been with me for 9 years and seen me go from 9.5 stone to 16.5 stone. I will NOT be a fat bride so here is to 2014 when I finally become slim again! I will be doing Slimming World online so please support me and help me along the way! Here is my diary for today:

Start weight: 232 pounds




Breakfast: 2 ALPEN LIGHT BARS
1 COFFEE WITH MY HEXA ALLOWANCE OF MILK



LUNCH: SALAD WITH LETTUCE AND CHICKEN
A TINY BIT OF CAESAR DRESSING (2 SYNS)



SNACK: MULLER LIGHT WITH CHOPPED UP FRUIT



DINNER: NANDOS
1/4 CHICKEN BREAST
1/4 chicken leg
SPICY RICE
SIDE SALAD (10.5 SYNS)
1 TBS SWEET CHILLI SAUCE BY BLUE DRAGON ( 2 SYNS)


14.5 syns in total. My syns are slightly on the high side so I need to eat less syns tomorrow but other than that I think this is a fairly good day right? Please let me know and any advice is welcome as I aqm new to this!

Hi Natasha! Welcome to SW! I promise this will be the best decision you've ever made! SW works for everybody as long as you food optimise to the best of your ability!

Your food looks good but not very filling until dinner! Don't be afraid to eat on SW! It's for people who love food! I eat more than ever now but it's all good food! Good luck on your journey. X
 
[DAY TWO


Breakfast: [/B]35 g All bran bran flakes (HEXB) 1 vanilla muller light
chopped strawberries

Lunch:Egg fried rice with chicken (7 Syns)

Snack: More strawberries and a banana

Dinner: Spaghetti bolognese with mushrooms and carrots added to the bolognese sauce plus Parmesan for healthy extra a

Dessert: herbal tea with truvia and a muller light

DAY 3: Not brilliant as we had to change our plans and get something from out for dinner. Nonetheless I just opted for chicken cooked on charcoal the only thing is I couldn't separate it from the skin as it was so bony and I would be left with no meat lol! Is it really bad? I also had a cheeky shortbread which I shouldn't have had really

Breakfast: 2 alpen light double chocolate bars

Snack: grapes


Lunch: Slimming world spaghetti bolognese with mushrooms and onions

Dinner: chicken "souvla" ( on the barbecue). 3 pieces with the skin left on (6 syns?) and 10g feta ( part of my healthy extra a) and salad

Dessert: 2 shortbread biscuits with tea sweetened with truvia (9 syns)

Brunch: 2 soft boiled eggs
2 slices of warburtons wholemeal bread (Hexb)
2 tsp flora light ( 2 syns)
Onken fat free yogurt
Raspberries
1 tsp honey (1 syn)



Snacks:
1 banana
8 olives ( 1 syn)


Dinner: 2 pork chops trimmed fat
1 Pork loin trimmed fat
1 baked potato
Boiled veggies
30g cheddar ( hexa)
Chilli sauce ( 1 syn)

Dessert : galaxy ripple (8.5 syns)

Total syns: 13.5 syns
 
Hi,

Well done on starting SW. I've done SW before but not seriously for 3 years and I managed to lose 2 stone then. I've started back now too so perhaps we can help each other? Well done on keeping control during your meals out, you could quite easily have caved then! I'm not sure on how many syns chicken with the skin on would be to be honest.

Are you just sticking to the extra easy plan? Also are you a member of a group or doing it on your own?
I weigh at home, mainly because I'm skint but also there isn't a class particularly close to me either.

Hi Sarah! Thanks so much for your encouragement! How much weight do you have to lose? I would love it if we could support eachother! I'm doing it online as I find the meetings make me a bit uncomfortable lol! So far I'm really enjoying the plan and don't feel particularly deprived! I need to finally lose this weight and start living my life!
 
Hi that sounds great! I want to lose at least 3 stones which I think will take me down to a small 14/big 12 and I'll decide from there if I want to lose anymore.
I did fancy joining online but again I can't really afford it. It's not too bad doing it from home, I've got all the books from when I joined before and this forum is great support, keeping a food diary keeps me motivated too as I feel like I need to tell everyone on here if I've been naughty! I love the magazines too for ideas xx

DESSERT: Freddo chocolate bar and a herbal tea (5 syns)


Total syns 10
 
I had my first weigh in today and lost 5 pounds!!! Only 2 more to go until my half a stone! Woop woop!!

hey hun. So, looking at your dairy I can't see anything wrong - you are following the plan spot on.

A couple of things. The Onken Fat free yogurt - is it the natural one or flavoured? The Flavoured ones have syns!!

Whilst Nandos is a good choice, you could have a 2.5 syn dinner in there (no sauces in that btw) If you have Butterfly chicken and take the skin off its free - Spicy rice, 2.5 syns, side salad - free. I'd also add a corn on the cob, also free.

Re the Scales - IGNORE THEM. The only weigh in that counts is the one at group, or on your weekly weigh in day. Weigh fluctuates throughout the week. DON'T PANIC!
