My Journey to a new me.....
Hi, my name is Sinead. I'm 37 and following SW since January. I got married last May and was a size 8. Now 9 months later I'm a size 18. Myself and my husband have been trying to conceive with no success. I got diagnosed with an underactive thyroid gland last month so now on meds for that but my weight loss is slow. I've lost 10 ibs so far. This diary is to record my SW journey & any other thoughts and ramblings I may have lol. My weight gain was rapid due to my undiagnosed thyroid plus the fact I was overeating due to my unhappiness at being unable to get pregnant. I did a 3 month stint of femera but nothing happened. At my last scan last week she was positive that once my thyroid is regulated I will get pregnant so fingers crossed. ...
Anyway my food diary for today is...
Banana, melon & blueberries with 35g porridge.
350ml skimmed milk for teas
Muller light with raspberries
6 baby new potatoes, bacon & carrots
2 finger kitkat 5.5 syns
I get weighed every Monday so hoping for a loss 2moro but it is *week.

Weigh in day..... I go to a 7.30pm meeting so will update later.
Breakfast: 35g Porridge with blueberries & banana.
Lunch: 2 muller light yogurts & raspberries & pear.
350ml skimmed milk for teas.
Will have dinner after weigh in..undecided yet what to have.

Stayed at my parents last night and their internet was done. Had porridge & blueberries for breakfast. Grapes mid morning. Lunch was turkey slices with salad, aldi cupshotz and muller light yogurt with melon. Mam had dinner ready when I got home which was potatoes, mixed veg and salmon. Why do dinners taste soooo nice when someone else makes it!!! I had skimmed milk in my teas measured out plus 1 oatie biscuit. Dunno how many syns in that but that was all I had syn wise for the day.
Today...Ash Wednesday and the start of lent. My aim is to walk a mile a day. Breakfast again was porridge & blueberries. Grapes mid morning. Lunch was large garden salad. It came with a basil dressing but I dont know the syns. 2 aldi fat free greek Yogurts and strawberries. Dinner was late as worked late. Just had new potatoes and baked beans and my superfree straight after was pineapple. 350ml skimmed milk throughout the day. Plus 2 finger kitkat 5.5 syns. So syns for today are 5.5 plus the basil dressing. Trying to drink more water so had my 2L with sugar free squash.

No dinner as got home late and just wasn't hungry.
I think the thyroid medication has affected my appetite as every evening I just force myself to have dinner.
Had no internet the past few days. Was mostly on track but had a terrible time Sunday and Sunday night with vomiting and the runs. I spent most of the time on the toilet. Ok today just a really sore throat and swollen glands. Getting 2 teeth out 2moro as need the room for my braces. Plus getting a new wire put in my braces. Im gonna be sore over the next few days so will not be eating much. Probably stick to soup
Back to weigh in on mon 24th. Ended up with a dry socket infection so currently on 2 lots of antibiotics plus painkillers. Should finish them on Saturday. Haven't really been following any diet as such as im in too much pain but it's getting better. Once mon weigh in is over I will do a big shop and get back on track
So back in class tonight and delighted with a loss of 3.5 ibs. Total loss 15ibs so got my 1 stone award.

Thanks I much prefer SW. I never go hungry and love making different recipes. I found WW esp the pro points just never seemed to work for me. Maybe it's because I'm bigger now and I've got more to lose that sw works for me.
