Summer slim down!

Hi all.
I'm new to the forum, but not new to slimming world. I lost about 2st with slimming world last year. Then I got pregnant and for some reason, went completely off plan. I've put it allllllll back on and then some. Really hoping to lose it for good now. I want this to be my last summer where I feel gross. Where I look at other people going around in string sleeve tops and teensy weensy shorts, and I'm wearing jeans and a baggy jumper. My daughter is always badgering me to take her swimming but I'm too self conscious to wear a swimsuit. How sad is that?

I want to lose somewhere between 3.5-4 stone. So I have a long way to go and hoping that posting on here will help keep me accountable. So any advice or support- I'll take whatever I can get!

Hi there

I'm new to SW too having lost 16lb with Exante but was really missing eating real food again :)
I'm still learning so can't give you much advice only that the people on here are so friendly
and there is always someone on line to help.

Today's menu:
Breakfast: 1 slice wholemeal toast, baked beans, scrambled egg, butter (1.5 syns)
Berries, fat free natural yoghurt
Lunch: Baked Potato, chilli, salad
Dinner: Chicken chow mein - Taste of Asia (1.5 syns)
Berries
Snack: Freddo (5 syns)

Feeling stuffed!

Total syns: 8/15

Lunch.: 2 scrambled eggs
2 quorn sausages (2syns- not sure if this is right)
Beans
Berries with Fat Free Natural yoghurt
Dinner: homemade spaghetti and meatballs
Freddo 5syns

total syns: 13.5

2 quorn sausages (2syns- not sure if this is right)
Beans (Free but not superfree)

Just didnt want you thinking I was picking fault - but also didnt want you jeopardising your losses. I have lazy days sometimes too lol
 
No, not at all! Thanks for taking the time to look. Is it ok to substitute fruit for the super free veg at lunchtime??


Your technically supposed to have the 1/3 superfree on your plate with your main meal, this is not always possible eg if you have sausage egg chips and beans you wouldnt put salad on the plate - in this instance I would then follow with fruit if still hungry :D

Was very well behaved this evening until dinner time. Had a horrible evening, and ended up getting a takeaway. Disappointed with myself now but should be ok if I pull in the reins over the next few days.
Gaaaah. Anyway.

B: Scrambled Eggs, Beans and a grapefruit
L: baked potato, bolognese sauce and a salad
D: complete Chinese blowout

Hex A- milk for tea
hex B- I intended to have toast with brekkie but didn't have any bread. My day has been A1 since the beginning!

Anyway, I'm hoping to have a syn free weekend- apart from a few drinks on Saturday night. Food is going to be 100%.

It's hard isn't it? I love a Chinese or chipper. Fortunately the Chinese is 12 miles away ;) Not very handy for spontaneous prawn crackers.

I've been up and down over the last few weeks, was finding it hard to stay on plan and would have one 100% day followed by 2 off-days. So I've tried to knock it on the head. I don't know if you've read my diary? Usually it's just me whinging... a lot... but I'd neglected it too while I was eating round me.

Anyway, I had a half-tin of Slim Fast left over from ages ago (god knows if I should be using it, or should have dumped the lot... never looked for a use-by date!). Since Wed I've been using it, as a kinda kick-start.

I think I've enough left for 2 more days, but planning to go back on EE tomorrow, after 3 days eating feck all, I won't know myself!

Don't know WHAT my point is, apart from Yeah, it's a slog, and it's the pits at times, but the alternative is NOT doing it and gaining all the weight I've lost (which has taken me AGES).

And the one day/meal/week off isn't going to ruin everything, but if you let it play on your mind it can really knock you back.
 
I know I'm just going to try and avoid the situation again. I was picking up my OH and he was delayed by about an hour, I thought I was going to be gone for ten minutes! Kids are screaming, it's half seven, the baby has to be fed and I had planned to make a risotto. The whole evening was a disaster!
but maybe it could have been saved by grabbing a handful of fruit going out the door. :rolleyes:

D: Curry stuffed with veg and rice (2 syns to the curry because I used cornflour to thicken)
