Mrs F's Food Diary - Trying to keep the momentum up!!

So 6 weeks after the wedding, I am making a fresh diet start!! The honeymoon helped me put back on 7lbs, and since we got back I have continued to use the wedding as an excuse to eat and drink what I like....so time to put the brakes on a little.

My target is to get down to 9.5stone, which was my target before the wedding, but I didn't quite make it :)

I have decided to do a diary, as any help and guidance from you lovely people would be fantastic as I am doing this from home so may go wrong.....and of course at that point I will naturally blame the diet rather than myself :D

So the plan for today:

Breakfast: Strawberries, blueberries and grapes, covered with 0% fat free natural yogurt and 30g shredded wheat (HexB) with a small sprinkling of sweetener.

Lunch: Pasta Salad - Contains pasta, grated carrot, spring onion, pepper, tuna and cherry tomatoes. Mixed together with 0% fat free natural yogurt and 1 level tablespoon of light mayonnaise (1 syn)

Dinner: Slimming world fish and chips - Haddock with SW chips and salad

Snacks: If I get peckish throughout the day I will grab some fruit....

Here goes day 1!!!!!

One pear had as a snack this afternoon! Also had a 30minute walk around town at lunch and am going to play badminton for an hour tonight.....every little helps!!

Still can't believe how much you can eat on this diet....but I'm sticking with it and not starting to doubt it's success on day 1!!

Ok so got home to cook fish and chips and realised I had no eggs....whoops!! So it turned into plain white fish, big salad and chips with 2tbl of ketchup (2syns). I also made my husband lunch with left over chicken from the weekends roast and snacked on a couple of bits of plain chicken, all fat and skin removed!!

I feel like I haven't stopped eating....it's all been very tasty...but does it work?! ;/

Day 2:

Breakfast: Porridge (HexB) made with water, topped with blueberries, grapes and banana.

Lunch: Pasta with roasted vegetables (pepper, mushrooms, broccoli, baby sweetcorn) with 2 level tablespoons of light mayo (2syns)

Dinner: Chicken new Yorker (HexA) with spicy potato wedges and salad

Snacks: Will be fruit throughout the day.

Exercise: 45mins in the gym and 45minute step and tone class

Hi Laura - thanks! I'm really enjoying the diet at the minute - it's nice to be eating things that feel normal, and not feeling guilty about them :) Looks like you are doing well, I will pop over to your diary to take a peek :) x

Wow how long have I been away?! Congratulations you, that's amazing!! You will do that final stone, it will just take something to click and you will be losing that each week a bit at a time :) what diet are you following now? x

I just thought that, I don't even know if I ever told you I was pregnant lol

Well I've been done slimming world mainly but now in trying the clean eating cutting out the sugar malarkey! Need something to kick start me and get my motivation back. X

No I don't think I did know that :) I've gone back to SW as it seems a healthy option...I will see how it goes! I have a couple of friends who have started herbalife.... Between them in the first 4 days they have lost 17lbs....it sounds amazing but I keep telling myself not sustainable, and at some point it will just go back on! :) x

So a few extra syns to add to the original plan - 2 tablespoons of ketchup with tea (2syns) and a box of raisins ... I don't know how many that is, however unless they are over 11 points I'm safe :)

I'm working in London tomorrow so no packing up for me for lunch, so the plan will be to have fruit for breakfast and the opt for something healthy like a salad in the restaurant at lunch. I'm then thinking spag Bol for tea after the gym, I'm going for a 45min LBT session and a 45min spinning class!

I will update tomorrow when I know what I've had!

Hiya! Your food founds yummy, really craving a hunters chicken now!! Maybe dinner for tonight :D

It's one of my favourites, and it was scrummy last night :)

So we ended up in Ask and I had the chicken and bacon salad ...... Any idea of syns anyone? There was a little avocado, and then a mustard dressing which I think is where the syns will be hiding! The chicken was oven baked, but I'm not sure on the bacon!

Just back from the gym and had my spaghetti Bol - made with onion, carrots, celery, mushrooms, lean mince, chopped tomatoes, tomato purée and dry oregano! Scrummy :) topped with 40g cathedral city lighter (HexA) and enough left for lunch tomorrow - one less job for the night :)

Just realised I haven't had a HexB - what's good to have as a lighter snack from HexBs?!

Gym was good tonight, LBT was hard, and I'm going to feel that tomorrow! Spinning was ridiculously hard, it was my first time and I felt physically sick at the end, but according to the class that's normal?!?! Ah well as long as it's doing me some good I suppose!

So, I can hardly move this morning, walking around the office like an old woman....silly gym!!

Plan for today:

Breakfast: Strawberries, grapes, raspberries and cherries, topped with 0% fat free yogurt and 35g Alpen no sugar (HexB)

Lunch: Leftover Spag Bol

Dinner: Chicken and Vegetable stir fry with egg noodles - the chicken will be cooked in soy sauce and i will add some chinese 5 spice and ginger.

Snacks: Fruit throughout the day and i will try to get HexA in somewhere.

Rather depressingly i done a sneaky mid week weigh this morning and the scales are going up.......this has done my motivation no good at all :(
