Getting in a routine and back to being me!

Hi Everyone,

I've been saying that I'm going to diet for around 2 yrs now and never stuck at anything and just kept on pilling on the lbs. In the 2yrs I've been married I have gained 2.5stones and don't think I could get a leg in my wedding dress because of various things that have happened since our wedding, BUT, I'm making a change, I start a new job next week where I will have a set routine and will be able to avoid the temptations of junk - drive thrus are my worst enemy and I have decided to ring the changes by starting a healthy eating plan and I'm going to keep my food diary on here as I am going it alone for the first few weeks. :wave_cry:

So 1st day down;

B: BLT on two slices wholemeal bread (hexB)
L: Chicken mugshot with side salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato, pepper and Kraft fat free Italian dressing)
Snack: 3 Babybel light (hexA)
D: Singapore beef (1 syn)

Just done a short training run, first time I've got round without having to walk part of the way and now using my syns for a glass of wine.
 
Slimming World Day 2


B: 2 x bacon, grilled mushrooms, grilled tomato, poached egg, quorn sausages (2 syns)


Alpen bar (Hex B)
3 Laughing Cow extra light (Hex A)


L: jacket potato with side salad and 3 Laughing Cow extra light (Hex A), one plum


D: Harrisa lamb (1/2 syn), coconut muller light

I have eaten some really lovely food today but I'm finding the portions massive, even my hubby says all the meals are a plateful! I followed the recipe exactly for the Harrisa lamb from the SW magazine and it said 225g of dried couscous would serve 2 but maybe I've served small portions in the past and then snacked when I was hungry later, I can't understand how eating so much will lead to weightloss?!
 
Hi Laura,

I know what you mean I've got loads of energy since I started and I haven't made any recipes that feel diet! Iust be finding it ok as three days on a diet is good for me! x

L: Mediterranean mugshot with 15g Parmesan (1/2 Hex A), 2 plums


D: SW chicken and ham paella


S: Alpen light bar (Hex B), 2 Laughing Cow Extra Light (1/2 Hex A), loads of water

I've managed a 4.5 mile run today and walked the dog with my hubby so using my syns for a glass or two of wine during bake off!
 
Slimming World Day 4


B: 2 x quorn sausages (2 syns), 2 slices wholemeal (Hex B), 2 poached eggs, baked beans and mushrooms


L: Leftover paella, muller light yogurt


D: Spaghetti bolognese, 30g Parmesan (Hex A), 2 plums

No snacks today because I've been really busy finishing everything up at my current job. Just closed my laptop down for the final time and I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders! Roll on Monday for the beginning of a new chapter, feeling so excited! Going to have to be really good tomorrow as I have a weekend of afternoon tea and Sunday lunch out to celebrate
