Student Red's re-start diary.

Hi, just editing my first post to give a little info about myself.
I am a mature student going into my 3rd year studying Literature. I have 4 children a husband (5th child), a dog, 2 budgies and 2 fish. I have done SW a few times before so know the plan pretty well but keep losing my way. This time I will be going it alone, without a group, and hopefully this will be my last re-start. My aim is to lose a couple of stone before my course finishes as I would love some nice graduation photos, ones I will be happy to disply ;)

Anyway enough waffle...

Sooo, day 1.

EE
Breakfast - weetabix, milk, sweetener.
Lunch - savoury rice
Dinner - gammon, roasties, carrots, cabbage, gravy, yorkies (5 syns)

Thank you sunflower166

I have just updated today's entry with my picture.
I have only put dinner up as lunch was exactly the same as last night's dinner.

That is my thinking. Although I will be immensely proud of my achievement I want to be proud to show it off too.

That is if I actually pass this year lol

It sure has, sunflower :)

Breakfast - Weetabix, Milk
Lunch - Ham, Potato salad (1 syn) Roasted veg, pineapple and apple in FF yoghurt
Dinner - Chicken breast in mushroom sauce (0.5 syn) Carrot and swede mash, Mixed veg.
Snacks - 2 x slice turkey breast, Potato salad (1 syn) Crunch bar (8.5 syns)

Unfortunately my lurgy appears to be affecting my cooking sills as both my roasted veg and mixed veg both needed a lot longer cooking.

Anyway pics....

Ok so that worked :D

That is my huge brunch, followed by a yoghurt. We will be out straight from school run at a kiddy party so I won't get a chance for dinner until at least 6.30/7pm.

I will admit that I have kind of cocked up a bit. I forgot I had promised a dinner of fajitas today so will only now have 10 syns and no Hb for my wraps... Meaning only two wraps. I like to have 3 wraps whenI have fajitas... What shall I do? I can maybe just go 4 syns over, as I have been around 10 syns per day all week, or just have two wraps but ram them overfull so I am not left hungry? Really not sure?

Personally, I'd stick within the syns and just ram them full of the filling. Wraps aren't going to be the thing filling you up on that meal, so for me it's not worth the potential guilt of going over your syns for the day.

Assuming you're on extra easy, you could bulk the meal out by whacking a jacket potato on the plate and using the fajita filling you would have had on your third wrap as a topping instead? Just an idea to keep it within your syns :)

I forgot to take a picture, but it was a bit boring to look at anyway lol. Anyway I stayed with two wraps and tbh it was enough.

So today went..
Brunch - eggs, sausages (5 syns), toast, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes.
Dinner - fajitas (10 syns)
Snack - yoghurt

I am full and as we have eaten late should be fine for the rest of the eve now.

Tomorrow will be tricky as we have to set off for my FIL's wedding by 3pm and will be subject to 2 buffets and not home until late... I will have to have a think about how to handle it foodwise.

Morning.

Yesterday wasn't too bad actually. I never ended up eating as much as I thought I would. Nothing on the first buffet was SW friendly deep fried spicy crumbed chicken, samosas, sandwiches on white bread. The 2nd buffet was a bit better, sandwiches on brown/wholemeal bread, cheese cubes, picked onioms, chicken legs....BUT the cake was at the 2nd buffet along with multiple cheesecakes, chocolate fudge cake etc. I did have a small piece of wedding cake and a small slice of chocolate cake....
I didn't drink but as other people were buying me drinks I am not entirely sure every coke I got was diet, one or two tasted very sweet!!! Anyway it is only one day and I did my best while still enjoying myself.

Today is another day :) It should look something like...

Breakfast - egg on toast (hb)
Dinner - chicken, roasties, lots of veg, gravy, yorkies (4syns)
Supper -

I just hope it pays off as those cheesecakes looked lush!!!

As long as I don't gain I will be happy but a loss will make me very happy. I have looked back at the photos and I look massive :( I really need to just stick to this now for as long as it takes....

Todays roast was 5.5 syns.

A bit of a fail though, wedding cake fell into my mouth!! FIL and new wife came round with the whole top tier of the cake for us... I dished big bits up for the kids and then some for me and dh, only after I ate it did I think OMG what have I just done! Absent mindedness. I am so annoyed with myself :(
