2 down 2 to go...trying a food diary :-)

Hi, not quite sure how this will work but have seen so many food diaries on here that it must help! So here goes...

I initially had 4 stone to lose last year and managed to shift 2 stone in a couple of months doing slimming world from home (I can't go to or afford the group at the minute). Now I'm ready to lose the rest but it just doesn't seem to be working as well for me this time! Probably because I keep having the odd 'day off'! I can't seem to get below 11st. My target is 9.7lb but would be extra happy with 9 :p x

My latest attempt started Monday, day 1 went well but last night ended up having fish and chips for tea and raiding the chocolate tin! So now feeling a little annoyed with myself! :mad:

Anyway will post again with a diary, not sure if anyone will read it but I'll have a go!

Ok so I'm going to start my diary from today even though I actually started Monday.

Breakfast: porridge with milk and water (heb & hea - rest of milk used in coffees) honey 1tsp (1)

Lunch: innocent vietnamese curry noodle pot (4.5)

Snack: 2 clementines, 1 choc orange go ahead slice (3.5)
Extra milk in coffee (1)

Dinner: home made spaghetti bolognese (1syn for oil) (sf in sauce)

Snack: mini flake (4)

Syns: 15 :)

I usually try to stay around 10 syns but may have to have a bit of chocolate after dinner...:rolleyes:

Ah thanks sammie ann :) it was one of those "I've had fish and chips so I might as well eat my body weight in chocolate" moments! :( chocolate is my downfall!

Ha i hate that. I am one of those who uses a bad day as an excuse to have a naughty dinner and wine!!!! Wine is my downfall i drink too much haha xx
 
Thursday

Breakfast: porridge with water & milk (hea&heb) & tsp honey (1) rest of hea milk in coffees

Lunch: cheese & broccoli pasta n sauce

Snack: banana, 0% greek yoghurt & tsp choc shot (0.5) - i have found my new fave low syn desert!!

Dinner: chicken stew - planned

Extra milk used un coffees (2)

Very pleased at having syns left over for chocolate tonight...I may be a sound a little obsessed :eek:

Am also obsessed by chocolate (especially in the evenings) so I know where your coming from there!

Jimjam its liquid chocolate that you add to milk to make hot choc but its made from natural ingredients like fruit, very nice and only 13 cals per tsp so 0.5 syn, I had banana greek yog and a tsp of choc shot and it was like a banana choc desert :) my kids ate most of mine :p

Sammie I like bombay mix too, have you tried roasting chickpeas with spices (think I used cayenne pepper) tastes just like bombay mix and syn free!

Also, didn't end up having any chocolate as went to bed really early so only had 4.5 syns :eek: definitely not like me!

How are you ladies doing? Do you have diaries?

I think I may have to purchase some of this, anything to help with the sweet cravings!

Hmm, well I'm not doing too great at the moment, trying to settle down into it as have a bit of a hectic life with work at the moment, my diary should be in the diary forums, not sure how to link it

Well after going slightly off plan on Friday, it all went downhill from there until the whole weekend was a disaster! Including an Indian takeaway on sat :eek: and I wasn't making sw choices! and to top it off I felt rubbish the next morning, they're really not worth it.

Oh well im back on plan this morning :cool:

Breakfast: 1 rocky road hi fi light, 1 weetabix (heb) with strawberries and milk (hea - rest of milk used in coffee/tea)

Lunch: - couscous with jalapeños, roast peppers & pepperami mini, rocket & cherry tomatoes (1)

Dinner: sw chips, low fat quorn sausages, tomato ketchup (1)

Snacks: strawberries, grapes, muller light coconut & lime, rocky road hi fi light (3), 2 ww Brownies (7) orange muller light.

Syns: 12

B: 1 weetabix with strawberries & skimmed milk (half heb & hea) rest of hea used in coffee/tea

L: cous cous, jalapeños, roast red peppers, cherry tomatoes, rocket, m&s bbq chicken (half pack - 1 syn?) mini peperammi (2 total)

D: bolognese, sw chips and salad

S: rocky road hi fi light (other half heb), banana, ww Brownie (3.5) & 0% actuvia yoghurt, mini bag magic stars (3.5)

Syns: 9 :D

Im planning my food ahead and editing as I go along, hope that keeps me on track.

Wednesday

B: 1 rocky road hi fi light ( half heb), banana & 0% avtivia yoghurt

L: rocket, spinach, watercress salad with turkey, cherry tomatoes, beetroot & x3 mini babybel light (hea)

Dinner: smash & low fat quorn sausages (very late very rushed dinner!)

Snacks: hi fi light (other half heb), options hot choc (2), 2 biscuits (2), mini bag magic stars (3.5), malted milk biscuit (2)

skimmed milk in drinks: (1.5)

Syns: 11 :)

Thursday - so far so good 100% on plan! Wonder if I can last the weekend, thats the biggest challenge food-wise!

B: 35g oats (heb) water & skimmed milk (hea) honey (1)

L: batchelors rice & quorn pieces

S: ww Brownie (3.5) a bit of muller banana & custard (0.5?), mini kinder bar (3.5), hi fi light (3)

Dinner: chicken stew

Extra milk for drinks: 0.5

Syns: 12.5:)

Thanks zafira :) I like to reserve most of my syns for chocolate! Yeah the choc shot is nice, need quite a bit to make hot chocolate but its nice on yoghurt. They also make sweet freedom which I sometimes use instead of honey only 0.5syns per tsp
