New year, new diary and old diet - trusty SW! Not sure why I ever stopped after losing a good 2 stone about 5 years ago since have tried all sorts and now back heavier than ever and want it gone for good.

Starting today 4th Jan before back to work tomorrow, have a meal out tonight but want to start today. Not sure on final target but starting with just seeing a 9st on the scale (currently showing an 11 :-(

Day 1: green

B: "magic" porridge pancakes - HXB, eggs, FF Nat yog, sweetner, lemon juice, frozen raspberries
Tea with dash of skimmed milk

L: left over butternut squash risotto which has some Parmesan in, so with the milk in tea is HXA

D: at Zizi's so will pick what appears to be healthiest pasta dish
 
Day 2: Green

B: oat so simple multi grain sachet - HXB with semi-skimmed milk - HXA
Coffee x 2 with milk
Grapes

L: homemade soup - mixed beans, lentils, vegetables, tinned tomatoes, stock
Apple

D: Sweet potato baked with spring onions and salad, balsamic vinegar

Don't think I had any Syns today but that can make up for the meal last night :)
 
Day 3: EE today...

B: Apple and grapes Coffee with splash of milk - 1 syn

L: more homemade bean and veg soup
Another coffee - 1 syn

D: SW spag carbonara, wholewheat pasta, spring onion, garlic, bacon, quark, egg yolks, Parmesan - HXA with mixed leaves and balsamic vinegar

No HXB today as ran out of cereal bars and not eating bread for January
And only 2 syns on milk :)

Day 4: Green

L: the last of the soup, beans veg

Soda with lime cordial and fresh lime - assuming cordial will be syns?

D: orzo recipe from one of the mags with asparagus, spinach, peas, broad beans, chilli and garlic with rocket salad, balsamic vinegar and little Parmesan cheese - HXA

So only syns is the lime cordial, had 1 HXB and both HXA's

Really enjoying healthy jan so far, am doing no alcohol for the month as well :)
 
Day 5: Red day

So hungry on red days!!!

B: Apple and a large coffee with skimmed milk - HXA

L: chicken, vegetables, salad, hummus - is this HXB?

D: SW chicken tika masala recipe, was lovely will use all time. Added a orange pepper and had steamed spinach with it to replace rice so syn free :)

So no syns today unless the hummus has any?
 
Day 6: EE

B: Apple and 2 coffees with splash of milk

L: left over orzo with asparagus, spinach, peas etc as above with rocket salad

D: salmon fish cakes from SW fake aways with sweet potato chips rocket salad and light mayonnaise - 4 syns? And lemon juice

No HXB today
HXA is milk - will have a mug of tea later to use more milk
Syns - Mayo

Nearly the end of week 1, think I'm all on plan
 
Don't think I've noticed hummus as a healthy extra before but could be wrong as it is not something I normally eat!
Salmon fishcakes sound nice! My mum has that book, may have to borrow it again. I've tried the pizza from it and it was good!

I only have old books and it was a HXB but if not I'll syn it :)
 
Day 7: Red

B: blueberries and a coffee with skimmed milk - HXA

L: scrambled eggs, red pepper and choritzo - 5 syns and 1 slice of wholemeal bread - HXB

D: chicken fajitas - chicken breast, cherry tomatoes, peppers, onions, spices with iceberg lettuce and low fat sour cream and chive dip - 4.5 syns?

Total: about 9.5 syns
Total for the week Zizi's meal + 23.5 so hopefully still under the 70/ 10 per day

Weigh in and looks like I've lost around 3 pounds so happy with that. Still in the 11's so a long way to go. Onwards and downwards

Week 2

Day 1: Red

B: blueberries and oat so simply porridge - HXB
Milk - HXA

L: chicken, bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich, 1 HXB and 6 syns with salad and coleslaw - 3 syns

D: pork roasted with shallots, garlic, carrots, leeks and spring greens. Homemade gravy with chicken stock and half tbsp flour - 2 syns?

Total: 11 syns
2 HXB
1 HXA
 
Day 2: green

B: Apple and 2 coffees with skimmed milk - 2syns

L: jacket pot with beans and cheese - both HXA as not sure the exact portion size

D: wholewheat pasta with homemade tomato sauce, peas and rocket salad with balsamic vinegar

Day 3: EE

B: Apple and 2 coffees, 2 syns - this needs improving!!!!

L: fail safe when out and about jacket pot with beans and cheese - HXA

D: will be slow cooked mixed beans, vegetables and chicken chilli
 
Day 4: EE

B: porridge - HXB with milk - HXA

L: curry noodles with peppers and onion

D: crab, chili and garlic linguini with little olive oil - 6 syns and rocket

Not bad week so no fruit today tho

Day 5: Green

Not a great day as was out and about so no prepped food.

B: Apple and a coffee with skimmed milk - HXA

L: pasta from waitrose, was pasta, cherry tomatoes and mozzarella didn't taste oily but Prob not free

D: potatoes in oven with onions and oregano, egg and beans

So no HXB but milk and mozzarella for HXA and Syns for the pasta hopefully not more than a days worth :)
 
Day 6: nearly 2 weeks in, no alcohol for dry January and on plan.

Today is EE

B: Apple and a natural cereal bar (blueberry one) which I need to look up the syns for but would imagine is around 10? Even though it's healthy it's not a SW HXB so will syn it but also not have a HXB today as in my mind that was my cereal thing

Coffee x 2 with milk

L: boots vegetable sushi (small one) which I think was only 1 syn
2 bottles of water and 1 bottle of coke zero

D: will be another SW curry this one korma style, chicken, onion, spices, tinned toms, quark with cauliflower and broccoli and some rice

So day: 11 syns ish - even if it's more am low over the week as a whole
HXA - milk
