Battling my own Nemesis

As the title says, I have got to take stock of my life and make the changes I desperately need to make. Since I was 22/23, weight has crept on steadily. I remember hitting 15 stone and being horrified. 7 years on from there, I'm now over 17 stone and can't believe I got this size. I had two little boys in quick succession but I was one of those weird women who lost weight during pregnancy, not gain any!! Its just been poor daily choices that's been my downfall. That and no will power or self control. Now is when I take stock for the last time! I joined just prior to Christmas which was an awful idea and last week weighed 1.5lbs more than my first week! Tomorrow is weigh in day and I'm feeling hopeful that I'm finally journeying the right way!! Menu is planned for next week and I'm planning mix of EE and SP days for a good boost! Fingers crossed.

Today I had:

Lunch - Skinni Pork Link Sausages x 2, fried egg in a wholemeal roll (Hex B). Sausages were free.

Tea - 2 x Skinni Beef Olives, roasted new potatoes', piles of peppers, leeks. Beef Olives also free.

Snacks - mullerlight, low low cheese slices ( Hex A), fruit
 
I too used to leave if I had any gain but I'm sick of feeling this way and a gain can be learned from!

I weighed in today and lost 5lbs so am absolutely delighted. So delighted that I ruined my day by having a sweet chilli chicken burger and fried for lunch as I was on a work related road trip and we stopped at services. It just shows that I need to plan right down to the last detail.

Tea was an improvement... Lean pork chops with Italian herbs and veg.

Tomorrows menu is planned so I'm back in track. At least it was a bad meal and not a bad full day x
 
Thanks! It helped that my boyfriend cooked tea otherwise id have ended up calling pizza or something! Just away to put pork in slow cooker to make pulled pork tonight, really hoping to stick to plan this week!

Do you have a diary gluttermonkey? I cant search very well on this phone (probably me, not the phone!)

Hex A - not had any

Hex B - 2 Hifi Bars

Tea - Pulled Pork with Smokey Sauce (recipe from latest magazine), Broccoli, Cauliflower and roast new potatoes'.

Also made some curried Carrot & Coriander Soup for later as I'm nightshift tonight!

Spent some syns on some shortbread so guessing about 8/10

It was lovely but we used a Loin fillet we had in the freezer and I think it was too nice a cut if that makes sense. Recipes usually say the shoulder and I'll stick with that next time for a deeper taste!
 
Today, there was no breakfast due to being on nightshift and sleeping in the morning.

Lunch was Ham & Egg cups from the Mirror supplement earlier in the week. They were lovely but I did burn the edges as I guessed oven temp too high. Rest of it was delicious.

Tea was pasta made with dairylea light, leeks, bacon, tuna and cherry tomato's.

Snacks were 2 hi fi bars, mullerlight and some fruit later on.

Today was another day coming off nightshift and no food pics taken!

Lunch: Again i had Ham & Egg Cups

Tea: There's a local butcher who offer a huge selection of lean meat and dishes which are no or very low syn. The family who own it are SW friendly which is amazing. Tea was a Jack Daniel glazed burger which if it has any syns was very low, maybe one or two. Also had some of their Mac Cheese which is free on syns as long as i count the cheese as my Hex A which i did. Didnt have veg in but followed straight away with fruit to make up for the lac of veg!

Snacks: Small bag of maryland cookies and small bag of crisps - result of tiredness! nightshifts are a killer!!

Attempted an SP day and hoping I got it right!!

Brunch was fried egg, mushrooms and cherry tomatos

Tea was bbq flavoured beef/frying steak with peppers, mushrooms and peas!

Snacks were satsumas x3, cheese on toast to use my Hex A and Hex B, Malteaster Bunny (8 syns), one Hi Fi Bar (second Hex B)

Quick post as bed is calling! Weigh in day tomorrow and so nervous! Would love 2lbs off to give me my half stone but cant predict it!

Lunch was back medallions, mushrooms, tomatoes, fried egg and the sausages are a fat and syn free Chinese chicken flavour! Delicious

Tea was homemade egg fried rice with broccoli and on top was syn free Thai red chicken made by local SW friendly butcher. Mammoth portion which I didn't finish.

Haven't had my Hex A or Hex B today and wont be now as I'm hoping for some sleep if my toddlers let me!!

Syns = 10 as had 4 segments of chocolate orange... Tasty but not worth 10 syns!!!

Yesterday was weigh in day and I'm down another 3lbs so delighted with that. Ended up with pizza for tea and I didn't enjoy it. Made me realise that i enjoy all this cooking now which is good so am back on plan today!

Lunch: Lentil Soup with slice of white bread

Tea: Chinese pork with roast potatoes, pepper, bacon, sweet corn and peas

Snacks were the bread, mars bar and 2 hifi bars (hex b). No hex A today x
 
Kinda went off track from end of Jan and ended up following a pattern of sticking one week, blowing it the next. Guess this was in part due to not being to attend class regularly and basically no real motivation despite the fact I am getting married in May! I went to class yesterday and saw it as my last chance. I did lose and in fact hit a total of 16lbs off which has been a massive motivator! Getting that blue shiny sticker has made me want the next one. I am finally back on it!

Breakfast: 2 pieces of toast (Hex B) with flora light and handful of cherry tomatoes

No lunch as busy as work

Tea: Homemade spicy chilli with a sauce of leek, mushroom, orange pepper, baked beans, passata and tomato puree. This was with a baked potato and a sprinkling of cheese (Hex A).

Snack: Homemade cupcake but didn't eat the lot, terrified of the syns in it!!!
 
Today and tomorrow are 2 of my hardest days in the month. In a 4 week period I do two sets of two nightshifts and my eating goes out the window. Decided to be pro active and have made some lentil soup to take with me and I will also make some egg muffins to take as well so I can have free foods during the night.

So far today I have had a sandwich made with my hex b of bread, ham, cherry tomatoes and instead of butter, I spread 2 laughing cow mini craving cubes at 1/2 syn each. I love them and all flavours are 1/2 syn which is even better! Also had tangerine and banana.
