Going it alone with Extra Easy

Hi all! I joined Slimming World in October and lost 10lbs in my first few weeks. I put a couple of pounds on over Christmas so I'm back to it with a vengeance now that it's the new year! I'm taking a break from going to classes for a while because I wasn't really getting anything from my group, so I'm going to see if I can go it alone for a few weeks and hopefully shift the last of the weight. As of this morning I have 19lbs left to lose! I'm also going to be following the old Extra Easy plan as I haven't got the new book for SP. I'll be keeping track of my food here each day and hopefully that will keep me on the straight and narrow! :character00238:
 
Wednesday's Diary

Breakfast: 1 Weetabix [1/2 HEB] with low fat milk [HEA].

Lunch: Sandwich with one slice of wholemeal bread [1/2 HEB], ham, light mayo (1). Large apple.

Snack: Alpen Light bar (3). 3 coconut biscuits ( 6 ).

Dinner: Shepherds pie. Lean mince, onions, carrots, peas, potatoes, gravy (3) and butter (1).

I would not worry about the new books for SP as far as can tell thi si just relabelling of what used to be called superspeed foods which are now called speed foods an the SP plan which is not avised for longer thaqn 1 wk is just half a plate of protein and half a plate of speed foods so just work through your old books and relable them yourself. SW is just a business and they have introduced new syn books at £7.50 a time adjusting the syn value of som items also a recipe book giving sp examples. I am thinking of leaving my group as do not seem to be getting anything out of it, an will try to go it alone as you are goo luck with your 19 lbs xx

Thanks for the info Janeyemm and best of luck if you go it alone, seems to be going ok for me so far anyway :)
 
Thursday's Diary

Breakfast: Muller Light and pineapple

Lunch: Sandwich - 2 slices of wholemeal bread [HEB], egg, lettuce, tomato and light mayo (2)

Dinner: Ham (1 syn for glaze), pasta, passata, onion and mushrooms

Snacks: Alpen Light bar (3). Apple. Choc biscuit (3). Small piece of fruit cake (4).

Total syns: 13

Another day done and dusted! I've decided I'm going to have my weigh-ins on Fridays so that I can then have a treat day on a Saturday if I've done well. So we'll see what the scales says tomorrow! :scale:

I actually weighed myself on Wednesday so I'd have an accurate figure for starting this diary so I may not see any change tomorrow, so no pressure really till next week!
 
No change on the scales this morning but that's to be expected as i only weighed in two days ago. Ill try to stay off the scales now til next Friday again - i say try because I'm awful for having a sneaky look a few times a week!

Doing another EE day today, ill try to have more filling foods today than yesterday. I was so hungry in bed last night i had to get up and have a slice of toast in the middle of the night!
 
Friday's Diary

Breakfast: Boiled egg, 1 slice wholemeal bread [1/2 HEB], Muller light. Pineapple. Tea with lf milk [1/2 HEA].

Lunch: Sandwich with 1 slice wholemeal bread [1/2 HEB ], ham and light mayo (1). Apple.

Dinner: I think it'll be the same ham pasta bake as yesterday with (1.5 syns) for laughing cow triangle and half HEA for cheese.

Snacks: Half a Caramello (6), Options (2).

Total syns: 10.5

Good luck on your journey. I used to go to group but I left as I never stayed and kept weighing the same so was wasting 4.95 for weeks. Doing it at home. Back on it after having xmas off x
 
Yeah know what you mean.. I use my scales and sometimes I weigh at the swimming pool bit that's only 70p as I like to have the print out.
 
Oh i am a silly girl. I actually dread to think how much i drank last night! Ive been awake since 9 but still lying in bed nursing my hangover, ouch! Got so much to do today as well so must get up and about after writing this post. I had thought of getting on the scales to shame myself after my weekend binge but i think this headache is reminder enough to behave for the week!

Food will be good today as i did a big shop yesterday and have meat out for a stew tonight. Ill report back later!
 
Well in my delicate state last night i defrosted pork steak instead of beef for stew, whoops! Stew tomorrow instead I guess! Today's food looked like this:

B: 2 slices wholemeal toast with laughing cow light. Greek style lemon yoghurt. Tea.

L: ham, cheese and lettuce sandwich on wholemeal. Benefit light bar.

D: stuffed pork steak, SW roasties, carrots, peas, gravy.

Snacks: couple of cream crackers with butter. Some wine gums.

Not an ideal day's food but i will be back on track 100% tomorrow. It's fairly clear to me that drinking is my major dieting downfall, i use it as a reason to eat all around me! So nothing now unless very special occasions. Bf and i are planning a weekend away early February so that's a nice target to aim for to start with!
 
Sometime we just have to let our hair down. I go out usually every Friday as that's the only night hubby has off work so we make the most of it drink loads and usually eat it. I've seen the. Stuffed pork stacks before, they look nice. My meals today were b: 2 slices of wholemeal toast with marmite and a cuppa.

L: homemade veg soup

Dinner: mackerel and veggies

Snacks: melon and pineapple and a yogurt. Not meant to have yogurt or pineapple but I fancied it and thought it would be better than eating something bad.

Must have drank about 4 pinta today which is really good for me. Was going to go on the wii fit but was tired. I'll make extra effort tomorrow thou :)
