Back from Thailand... now to get slim in time for Glasto! Chloe's Food Diary <3

So after Christmas we went to Thailand for 5 weeks! It was the best thing I've ever done, and the FOOD! Wow. It was amazing!!! I need to find a way to live there!

We came back to England about a month ago and I re-joined Slimming World that week. I had put on about 10.5lbs since my lowest weight, oops!

In my first week I did really well and stuck to plan, lost 6.5lbs!! Literally couldn't believe it. Since then I've put on a pound and stayed steady at that weight, but I really hadn't been following plan at all to be honest. Just eating and drinking (too much wine!) whatever the hell I wanted and occasionally feeling bad and behaving myself like 1-2 days a week.

However, I am now back into an awesome eating routine and have been enjoying the healthiness again :) Glad to have this feeling back :D

My aim is now to lose 2 lbs a week until I'm at target, fingers crossed!! Then the aim will be to tone up. I want to be in the best shape of my life by June 2015! So here is my food diary, meal by meal and snacks too!

Thursday 5th March

Well last night was my boyfriend's sister's birthday and we drank ridiculous amounts of alcohol. I had a whole bottle of white wine to myself before we even got to the restaurant, oops! And then we had an awesome Thai meal, which must have had some oil in, but at the same time my meal mainly consisted of chicken and vegetables and rice, so I'm sure it wasn't too bad. Then we drank straight whiskey for the rest of the night argh! This is probably a bad day to start my diary from but I'm also quite pleased with myself since usually on a hangover I would eat ALL THE FOOD, all day long.

Breakfast
Literally, a bean. We went for breakfast at the best place in the world and I had been looking forward to it for months (since the last time we ate there), but when we got there all I could do was try to not throw up :( I didn't order the big breakfast I was planning to (the best fry up WITH pancakes and bacon and maple, best of all breakfasts combined!). I went for 'dirty beans on toast' but couldn't even get that down. Such a waste :(

Snacks
Coffees with milk
Biscuit (1.5 syns)

Lunch
We had been trying to make it home on public transport all day, but was unsuccessful for various reasons, so ordered lunch from the cafe in the building where my boyfriends mum works I had:

Jacket potato (3-4 syns for butter) with tuna mayo (3-4 syns) and side salad (no dressing)

Dinner
Pasta'n'sauce - Cheese, leek, ham (1 syn) with 100g milk

Snacks
Plum
Banana with mullerlight toffee yogurt
Creme egg biscuit (4 syns)

Total Syns: 14.5 (some guesswork involved with the butter and mayo)

I am using milk as my Healthy Extra A for today even though it wasn't measured, but I think it was a sensible amount.
I didn't have a Healthy Extra B.
Tomorrow will be a normal day!

Today was also my weigh in and after the week I'd had I was glad to see I had maintained! Onwards and downwards next week!

Friday 6th March

Back to normality from now on! So happy to not be hungover anymore...

Breakfast
Fruit salad (Papaya, melon, kiwi, pineapple) with low fat natural yogurt
3 x Coffees with milk in (3 syns roughly)

Snack (having 2nd breakfasts while I'm hanging around waiting to start my new job next week!!)
2 x poached eggs
HEA: 30g cheddar cheese grated
HEB: 2 x Warburtons wholemeal slices (400g loaf)

Ketchup (1 syn)

Lunch
Shallow fried trout and garlic (estimating 3 syns for olive oil used to cook)
Over an amazing salad: Spinach leaves, coriander, raw garlic, spring onion, yellow & red pepper, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, 25g avocado, mmmmm (2.5 syns)

We went to the cinema after our late lunch and I refrained from popcorn :eek: I took green tea in a flask and a bottle of sugar free blackcurrant squash! Also took a pear in case I needed to munch but I didn't.

Dinner
SW Cock-a-Lekkie Soup:
Chicken, onions, leeks, garlic, carrots, parsley, chicken stock. YUM!!!

Total Syns: 9.5
 
Saturday 7th March
Feeling good after my last few days of being well behaved and really looking forward to Thursday - I start my new job!! And it's my weigh in! :D

Breakfast
2 Haribo's when I walked into the kitchen cos my boyfriend's mum had left a big bowl out filled with them grrr!!! (2 syns)

Leftover Cock-a-Lekkie Soup from last night, mmmm! :heartpump:

(Couple of pieces of steak that was cooked for the spoiled dog, but with oil so estimating 1 syn.)
HEA: 30g sliced cheddar cheese
HEB: 2 x Dark Rye Ryvita (with marmite on and then the cheese piled on top!)
Mini Babybel light (2 syns)
Haribos x 4 (4 syns).... oh dear....damn that bowl! Sabotage!!

Dinner
Steak, leftover SW Sag Aloo, Mixed salad (all free apart from 20g avocado - 2 syns)

Total Syns: maybe 50-60 :/

Well it all went downhill in the evening, had 3 - 4 glasses of white wine and half a bag of Walkers Deli Garlic & Herb Pittas (literally my favorite snack ever but extremely synful!), AND a golden syrup pudding with Ambrosia light custard!

However, it was Saturday night after all, plenty of time to go until weigh in and at least I got my splurge out the way :)

Sunday 8th March

Slept in really late so had breakfast at lunch time and then lunch quite soon after! Done well so far though :)

Breakfast
Some of my HEA (30g cheddar cheese)
HEB: 2 x Warburtons wholemeal slices (400g loaf)
1 tsp ketchop (1 syn)
2 x poached eggs

Pint of 'no added sugar' blackcurrant squash

SW Chicken Kiev AWESOME! (2.5 syns)
Cubed oven baked potatoes
Sauteed leek and carrot (1.5 syns in butter)
Ketchup (1 syn)

Total syns: 9 syns

I even said no to an amazing looking slice of Victoria sponge that my boyfriend's mum offered me, willpower! I may have a fruit salad with yogurt a bit later if I'm craving a dessert.....

Melon, pear, banana and mullerlight vanilla yogurt, nom :)

2 x Haribo's (2 syns)... damn that heart shaped bowl in the kitchen filled with them!! The sooner they're gone the better, as long as it's not me whose eaten them all....
