Does Extra Easy plan work ? Not for me !

Hi Every one

I'm new to this site decide to join for some advice and help.

Having been a S W member on and off for about 20 years still not mananged to crack this weight loss thing. So decided to rejoin 3 weeks ago this was it I was going to do it once and for all feeling this was my time.
Week 1 lost 3lbs pleased but others were lossing 5+
Week 2 lost 1& 1/2 still not too happy but keep going started to become more active wii fit and walking others were getting 1/2 stone awards
Week 3 Stayed the same ! Am so frustrated been on the extra easy plan 100 % all week no rubbish drinking lots water low cal drinks eating lots having my syns .

Feeling really fed up , am I eating to much I do excercise but not loads or is this Diet not for me ? My friend joined the same time differentgroup has 1 stone to loose and has lost 8lbs already . I don't want to sound bitter cause I'm pleased for her but just don't know why my results aren't better.

Does anyone else feel the same ? any advice would be great

If you aren't happy with Extra Easy you can do Original or Green plans. There are loads of people who are happy with EE, but also many who prefer the other plans. It is your choice.
 
I don't really see the problem to be honest- 4.5lbs in 3 weeks isn't a bad loss at all! Just because others were losing 5lbs+ doesn't mean you also will. Many people sts at some point in their first few weeks, including me and due to my monthly cycle I usually sts once a month regardless of how well I've been doing.
What was your diet like before? Ive noticed that people who were junk food addicts before starting slimming world tend to have bigger losses as its such a difference to what they were eating before. I haven't had to change too much, just tweaks here and there which are working, but not as quickly as some find as its not a massive change.
If I were you I would stick with it for at least another couple of weeks before trying another plan, the weight is coming off! x
 
Thanks for advice going to try a few Red and Green days aswell just to mix it up a bit . x
 
mix it up. im losing consistently, my lowest loss has been 1.5, mostly im losing 2lb and 2.5lb a week, and i do EE days mixed up with some green days! lots of people on here have said about EE not working for them, so if you are happy doing red/green days then i would go back to them.
 
I felt just the same in my first few weeks, I'm being good but the person who joined at the same time is losing loads and I'm not!

Can I just ask if you are eating 1/3 super free foods? I thought I was and the weight loss was very slow the first few weeks and I was a bit disappointed. Then I came across a blog post on a site called slimmingeats and I realised I was eating lots of FREE foods and adding 1/3 veg to my meals but not adding 1/3 super free veg (just lots of peas and sweetcorn etc). This post also pointed out by eating my big jacket potato and beans FOLLOWED by a bowl of fruit I wasn't reducing my food consumption as if I was full it was the fruit I would skip. It would've been better to have salad with jacket potato or super free veggie soup before.

Now I've got my head round this I'm losing 1 to 2 lbs a week and have overtaken those people I was jealous of those first few weeks.

Try and keep positive any loss is a step in the right direction. If it makes you feel better in my 12 weeks with slimming world i've STS one week and gained in 2 weeks but have still managed to lose steadily over the 12 weeks. If you keep losing at your current rate of 1.5 lbs a week you will be 1st 4lbs lighter after 12 weeks!

I so agree with the last post EE ONLY works if you have 1/3 superfree on the plate with each meal I think you should really focus on EE red and green haven't worked for you before (you wouldn't need to rejoin and start agin if they had....) The amazing and wonderful thing about EE is it works and you can eat normally with your family, you can easily go out for dinner. I took a year to really believe in EE and now i do I have great weight losses with it but ONLY if i do 1/3 superfree (all fruit and veg bar avocados potatoes parsnips sweet potatoes peas and sweetcorn)

I f you aren't getting the weight losses you want up your superfree up your superspeed religiously weigh and measure you HE and stick to around 10 to 12 syns a day (70 to 105 over the week) it wont be that EE doesnt work for you it will be that you aren't working EE properly

I'm still trying to get my head round it but I am planning to do the 1/3 Super free with each meal. But I am also not worrying too much if I have had my superspeedy soup at lunch time as there is so much in that. Planning on living on that most of the weekend, give myself a bit of a boost, dont know if it will do much but it will be all I snack on :)

After reading some of the posts I decided to go through the EE plan & realised I haven't been doing the 1/3 plate full of superfree foods correctly what a doughnut ! :p So going to do some EE days right this time & some red & green as well . Thanks for the advice & good luck with your weight loss journeys. Loving this site very helpful. X

All the plans do work and to be honest you are loosing weight, your STS could be down to the exercise, you should find if you stick with it you'll show a loss in a week or two. You can't compare your losses to other peoples as everyone is different
 
At least you are losing it! Losing slowly will mean you won't put it back on as quick. My friends who are on SW have lost alot more than me but they also put it back on alot quicker. I don't lose much but I do exercise so maybe that's why. Keep at it and any loss is a good loss :)
 
I did post a reply yesterday but not on here. Just an update that I realised been doing ee plan wrong basically not doing the 1/3 veg thing & think I've eaten too much ! Am going to mix it up a bit with red/green . Thanks for all your advice I'll let you know how next WI goes . X
 
Clouise, here it is
1 tin baked beans
1 tin mixed bean salad
1 tin green lentils
Handful split lentils
2 tins tomatoes
2 large leeks
2 parsnips
4 large carrots
1 large onion
Green, red or yellow pepper
2 beef stock cubes
Salt and pepper
Mixed herbs

Chop all up and bring to boil :)

I blitzed mine as I'm not a mixed bean or lentil fan, it might look weird when you start but it does taste good :) x

I'm even lazier and just buy a frozen pack of veg for stews (onions, carrots, turnips etc) and boil them up with some oxo cubes and blitz :)
