Unsweetened Almond Milk

Hello everyone,
I am quite new to all this and I am not sure if I am looking in the wrong place/ have tried to search but seem to have so many different figures!

Is unsweetened Almond Milk (the blue diamond one) a healthy extra? If so how much? If you do syn it instead, how much is that?

Thanks, I have looked for it, but only seem to find lactose free or soya figures.

The Blue Diamond unsweetened almond milk is 875ml for HEA

The Alpro unsweetened almond milk is 950ml for HEA

Thanks so much. If I don't have that much do I have to have something else to make it up? Or can I just have say 200ml for my healthy extra?

Thanks for your help!

You don't have to make it up with something else but i would myself because I love some cheese too!

Its funny isnt it how consultants differ in advice. My c says that you have to have the full amount of your h ex otherwise you have to syn it, ie 875ml of the blue diamond. She also says that splitting it, ie half cheese, half milk shouldnt be done! I love that milk in porridge, makes it proper creamy, but I refuse to pay £1.49 as it was in Asda the other day.

Thanks for your replies.

I know I couldn't possibly drink that much. I really dislike "milk" products, so real and substitute, so I have as little as possible if I want cereal.

Do they mean syn it because they you could have something else as your healthy extra? If you are going to have say some cheese as well. Not if you are just going to have less than the recommended amount and just that?

I seem to be really bad at healthy extras, some days I wish I could have 2 lots and others I struggle to get the full amount!

I love the taste of Blue Diamond unsweetened almond milk, I have it most morning with my bran flakes :) .

If you buy the sweetened versions you can have 500ml as a healthy. 875ml is way to much for me. If I get the unsweetened I just use it as syns rather than a healthy extra as I can't have all that. It's 0.5 syns per 100ml.

Your Consultant is a spoon. You don't have to have the full Hex for it to be hex and you can split it however you want as long as you don't go over it and forget to count the syns.

Ah okay, thanks for this! So I could syn it at 0.5 for 100 ml and have another healthy extra?

Can you imagine drinking 875 ml of that everyday. That's very expensive lol!

This milk makes delicious egg custard.

The consultant who said you have to use all the hex and not split it is wrong and is only making the plan more restrictive for her members.
