Smile A few queries re: Healthy Extras- B choices

    Hi There

Firstly, I apologise as you've probably had the same question over and over again!! I am brand new to SW- doing Extra Easy plan. I'm a little apprehensive as I've never seen so much food allowed!!

Having trawled though several forum posts/my books etc I just wanted some clarification on the below, as well as any other suggestions for healthy extra 'b' options.

It says that you can have 2 x alpen light bars or 1 kelloggs chewy bar as your b choice. Are all cereal bars that are 3g of fibre or more allowed as b choices? ie:

    Weetabix oaty bars
Oat so simple morning bars (all over 3g fibre)

With regards to bread are there any pitta, wraps, english muffins or sandwich thins included? I can see that a few of these have higher fibre content than the warburton wholemeal 40g bread?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know the science behind what is and what isn't allowed as a Healthy Extra (I don't make the rules, I just follow them!), but what I do is use the SW website.

If you log in and click on "My Weight Loss Tools" and then "Latest Healthy Extras" you can then select which plan you are following (i.e. Green, Original or Extra Easy) and which Healthy Extra you wish to check (A or B). It brings you a huge drop down list of all of the things that class as a Healthy Extra.

Basically anything that is not on that list does not count as a Healthy Extra, no matter how much fibre, etc. it contains.

Hope this helps a little x

Not to be contrary but there are lots of branded healthy extras in the free branded foods book that do not appear online. Not sure why and its really annoying though

    Thanks

Patchwork Puss- you are right. There is a limited amount on the website, but my free branded book arrived the other day and it does contain many more items. I really wish that Slimming world would explain their logic re: cals & fibre and what constitutes a HEX b choice, as I can see other items with similar cals & fibre content that aren't on the HEX b list ie: The new oat so simple morning bars. Perhaps they will be added soon, I will keep an eye out!
