Hi there, Just wondering if anyone can help me please.. i've bought some chocolate alpen light bars, but i'm unsure whether i'm allowed 1 or 2 of them for my HEB? I'm following the extra easy plan. Thanks in advance xx :)

It's one or two. Either can count as a whole HEB as they're both high in fibre and low in calories. If you look in the book, 1 alpen light as HEB also counts as a speed food, whereas 2 don't. So you can have either 1 or 2 and it still counts, whereas you can't have 1 small slice of bread and count it as a HEB as it's not got enough fibre. Have to have 2.

I usually have 2 alpen, but if I've had a bad week I only have 1 to increase my speed foods

Fab, thanks! Was hoping someone would tell me that 2 is ok because I ended up having 2 yesterday anyway :D

Thanks for clarification, was puzzled too by the same thing. Wasn't sure if it was a typing error. I like to bash the Alpen bars up and have on top of fat free Greek yogurt, it's really yummy. ;)

What a yummy idea! I usually just have one (or 2 if I'm having a long day) on its own for brekkie, but will def think about mixing it with some yoghurt on the days I'm not scoffing it on my way out of the door!

If you have the old style Alpen Lights (with "70 calories" on the packaging) surely they are still a HEXB? They were last week, before all this started so why wouldn't they be now?! The SW website mentions that the new style bars are gradually rolling out so the old ones will be available for a while.

Theria - yes of course, the old recipe is still fine, it's just the new 'improved' (in Weetabix' opinion) recipe that has less fibre and more calories.

I think they've had a fair amount of barracking from Mims & SW so you never know, they might bow to pressure - especially if their sales go through the floor!!
