Extra Easy: Mixing healthy extra a

Hi all. Been doing slimming world extra easy since Tuesday and seems to be going okay however, I normally want to mix my healthy extras a fir example if I only have 10g hard cheese ( I can have 28g as he) I also have about 20g feta (can have 45g as he) can I also have some semi skimmed milk in coffee or is the hard cheese and feta enough?
 
Are you going to group? I'd check with your consultant, as I know some don't recommend mixing. But I personally think it's fine using simple splits, such as half cheese and half milk. I wouldn't recommend getting much more complicated than that, simply because it gets too difficult to track. As an example with the amounts you've listed, you're at 35.7% HEA for the hard cheese plus 44.4% HEA on the feta. So you'd need 19.9% additional HEA, which is about 70ml of SS milk. Too much maths for my liking! :)
 
The slimming world website says its fine to split your healthy extras and go half of one and half of another :)
 
Wow thanks so much for the % I will do it that way from now on. I am doing group on Tuesday mornings but wanted to check before then in case I was doing it wrong and, having spent a lot of time online this week, this site is defo best for all things slimming world :)
 
Hi, where does it say on the website you can can mix them? I asked my consultant in week one and she said no. So have been synning the 150ml of milk I use daily and having another hexa, sometimes just for the sake of it. Would much rather split them :rolleyes:

Yes, if you like - you’ll still lose weight beautifully! The downside is your speed and fibre symbols would have to be ignored unless your two halves had identical symbols. However, mixing and matching couldn't be done when there are multiple items in one choice, eg, 1 Weetabix and 2 Scan Bran. With all single item choices, feel free!

To keep the food diary as easy as possible to update, our Healthy Extra drop down lists only allow you to enter a whole Healthy Extra. If you do enjoy two half portions and want to record that, please make an entry in your food diary journal.
