Extra Easy: Mix and Match Healthy Extras?

Afternoon slimmers!

I have a quick question about Hex's which I have never been sure about and am sure someone on here can help!

For breakfast this morning, I had toast with 2 dairylea light triangles on... my question is, if I wanted a cup of tea, or two, could I use any skimmed milk as part of my allowance? If so, how much can I have? (as I know, usually it's 350ml skimmed milk, but not sure how much it would be after 2 light triangles!)

Thank you kindly!

Yep that's fine :) this is from the site -

Q: Can I mix and match my Healthy Extras by halving the portions?

A: Yes, if you like - you'll still lose weight beautifully! The downside is your speed and fibre symbols would have to be ignored unless your two halves had identical symbols. However, mixing and matching couldn't be done when there are multiple items in one choice. With all single item choices, feel free!

Just be careful you don't go over or under or it could end being hidden syns. I tend to stick to proportioned things so it's easy to split x

I pick & mix but it does require a bit of maths!

I think you can have 5 Dairylea Light triangles as a HExA? (This is off the top of my head as I don't have my book with me).
If this is correct, you have had 2/5ths of your HExA, so you can have 3/5ths of a 'portion' of SM which I work out at 210ml.

I suggest you double check my maths though!

I ALWAYS do this, despite my last consultant telling me not to. I would never use enough milk for a HEA so I often do half milk and half cheese. It's only a problem if you are guesstimating portion sizes, which you can't really do with HEA's anyway.

Thanks for this I was wondering the same.

That's exactly what I was thinking - I usually only have a dribble of skimmed milk with my weetabix in the morning, as I hate them going soggy! So surely you'd be able to use the rest on cheese!

Thanks for your answer! :)

Thank you! I'm usually under the allowance, I mentioned below that I usually only have a dribble of milk in my cereal, then sometimes will have a coffee or two, or a sprinkle of cheese on my dinner in the evening, making sure that it's in my allowance! x

Thanks everyone for your replies! I'm more than happy with the answers :) x

Brilliant, sounds simple enough! Thanks :) x
