Ice Cream in this weather!!!!
We live by the sea - and even though we have gale force winds, torrential rain and it's really cold today- the ice cream van is still doing the rounds - anything to sell an ice cream cone, LOL.....

I know what you mean. Our flat is right on the seafront (sounds marvellous - and it was in the summer - but the walls are running with damp and the carpet in our bedroom is wet as the rain is soaking through the walls. Needless to say we are movign VERY sooon!!) so just going to see if our ice cream van is parked up.
Nope, ours isn't there. We have a static kiosk that seems to open whatever the weather but I have a feeling even they may have surrendered today!
We were at Bexhill in October - we had a few days there in our Campervan, it's a nice area, and we found a great little site too.

Saw the coke ad last week. OH thought I was going mad as I shouted "aaaah this means its nearly xmas!"
The last house we lived in, the ice cream van came everyday at 4:20 pm without fail, all damn year! And I didn't even live rightby the sea!xx

I'm just amazed that in this day and age, when virtually everyone has a 'fridge, that people can make any money with an ice cream van!
Fortunately, we're not plagued at this time of year, but in the summer... Being a 'grumpy old woman' I get really fed up with several of them competing in our neighbourhood! You're down the garden, just dozing nicely on your sun-bed, (yes, it really did happen!), when Greensleeves or Popeye or someother jangly tune blasts out, completely ruining the peace and quiet and birdsong...
I get really mad - noise pollution I call it!!!
