Being on this diet is like being on a wagon that goes at speed then slows down, but it may even stop or go in reverse for a short time, so dont get off the wagon! If you get off, get thrown off, or lose your place, run after it! If that doesn't work, get the next immediate wagon. Fight to stay on the wagon it will take you to your destination

proud of you !!!!

Well done. You're getting through the hardest bit. xxx
well, I started to smoke again last night. No excuses other than I just didn't try hard enough to resist, met up with a large group of friends I haven't seen in ages and we went to see guns n roses, back to the drawing board for me
I smoked one and it stank but not enough to stop me cadging another of my friend, I wasn't even drunk so can't use that as an excuse I had had a few drinks but enough to know what I was doing. I even bought 20 on the way home and chain smoked as much as I would have done before the few days I had stopped for.
Starting over again.

One blip doesn't mean you've failed. Same as with dieting - it's not making the mistake but how you deal with it. xxx
My tip to you is never stop giving up. I started smoking when I was very young and smoked for nearly nearly 40yrs before I gave it up. I tried loads of time to give it up and finally succeded and have now been smoke free for 7yrs this November.

thanks everyoneand well done to the people that have kicked the habit! I'm feeling a bit worried at the minute because despite my resolve that I had strongly all week I didn't even waver when it came to having a cigarette, I have to be totally honest I wanted it
I know that it was early days in my quit for me to be out socialising etc but I thought that I would be able to handle it.
I need to totally change the way I think about cigs, I know deep down that I don't want to smoke, I don't want to smell of smoke or spend my money on them.
I WILL DO IT THIS TIME lol the caps are more reinforcement for me
thanks again everyone xx
Don't beat yourself up about it, it will happen when its supposed to. All the time you are putting yourself under pressure to do it you wont. xx

Hi
When I stopped it was just like a switch went on and I didnt want them anymore and it never bothered me, I stayed of them for 10yrs with no problems then when hubby died suddenly I didnt reach for tablets I reached for cigs and have been on them for 4 yrs again, I know for me that the time isnt right for me to stop but when you had the determination all week and done so well, I think its brill so good luck on getting of them they cost a bloody fortune lol xxxxx
I stopped the first time when my husband had a heart attack. When he died five years later I didn't even think about cigs, but two years later when I started clubbing, I found cigs were everywhere and then started again with a vengeance. It has taken me until now, 19 years later, to finally do it again, this time hopefully for good!!! When you want to stop the thought is always with you so just keep plugging away, and one day it will just be the right time!
