If you need a white syn free sauce for dishes like lasagne there are two recipes...

    1) 1 tub Quark, 1-2 egg, herbs/parsley and half tsp mustard-mix all ingredients in a pan on a medium heat to make a sauce. Add milk if you want it to go further. (obviously double up ingredients for more sauce )

    2) Super quick option. Very low fat natural yogurt mixed with half tsp mustard and herbs (both optional) No need to heat if using for a lasagne, just mix ingredients together and use. If you want it to set then add some eggs, if you prefer it saucy then no eggs.

I loved the second option, was really creamy and tasty. Also very quick and you can use as much as you need!

If you see eggs reduced in the supermarket - buy them! There is usually a 7 day difference between the sell by date and the use by date, and I don't know about you guys, but I can get through a bo of eggs in a week without thinking!
Back on the wagon from 2nd Jan 2012 - must try harder!!

Don't overlook the supermarket value ranges , for example tesco value salad cream has the same syns as low fat salad cream, but is nicer and way cheaper!

It's hard being overweight, it's hard to lose weight, and it's hard to maintain your weight.
    Choose your 'hard'!

If you are a real chocoholic, freezing the bags is good. It takes you ages longer to eat the chocolate so gives you the feeling that you have eaten more!!
What a fab idea, never thought of doing this or even putting chocolate in the freezer. Will be doing this later as got a few chocolates for Xmas, first I need to know how many syns my bailey chocolates are, lol.

Never thought of doing this before, I usually just drain off the fat and then rinse under hot water before putting back in the pan.

On a night out ask for a straw with your drinks, then after each drink save the straw in your handbag then at the end of the night you know how many syns of vodka etc that you have had and won't lose count. x

I got some for a similar price on amazon. I have been feeling bad about having to lower my food principles (chicken, normally I only eat free range, but it's such an easy free food I've lowered my standards so I can continue to eat it regularly) and the bags I've got are british made, so that gave me a nice "ethical hippy" glow again lol.
