    Why I hate WI day!

    It freaks my chicken!

Even when I was loding quite easily it's thetrepidation, the fear of gaining made me ill!

Now, at target, the chances are it may well be a gain! - and usually is!!

I'm sure I take it all too seriously and personally but I'm also sure I'm not alone.

    Anyone else?

Oh and any massochistic (sp?) types who actually "enjoy" the act of stepping onto the scales?

Finally, anyone else step onto the scales very gingerly (other hair colours are available) believing it will keep the numbers down lol.

I knew it wasn't just me

    Steve

Oh me, me !!!! I always stand on the scales like they are crushed egg shells but then feel guilty and have to bounce about a bit. The weight stays the same.
Losing the weight is easy compare with maintaining the weight loss. That is the hard bit.

If you have made mistakes, there is always another chance for you. You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for this thing we call 'failure' is not the falling down, but the staying down

Being on this diet is like being on a wagon that goes at speed then slows down, but it may even stop or go in reverse for a short time, so dont get off the wagon! If you get off, get thrown off, or lose your place, run after it! If that doesn't work, get the next immediate wagon. Fight to stay on the wagon it will take you to your destination

Also guilty. When I was losing it was always a bit scary getting on the scales in case they didnt do what I wanted them to do, but for the most part the scare was replaced quickly by euphoria. Nowadays you get on them and go "hmph, need to do a few days super 100% then" and get back off them, kicking them as you go. I actually think I was addicted to losing, which kept me motivated. Now I'm done - I know how to maintain, but its not anywhere near so much fun.

OMG - I am a male minx (or equivalent) that is EXACTLY how I am/was. Perhaps it is how we all are, but re-assuring to hear it from others.

I now feel fairly normal and well-adjusted!

If I've had what I consider a great week then I look forward to getting on the scales - until they say "uh uh (that noise on Family Fortunes ) you've gained half a pound", then I cop the right strop and don't want to get on the following week. If I've had a bad or not so great week, I usually don't mind getting on, cos often it's not as bad as I think

Saying that, I haven't been for a few weeks as have fallen off the wagon big time - I need a hefty kick up the jacksy to get me there on Monday night and to get back in the swing of things again
