    Nooooooooo, off track already

I joined SW on Monday morning feeling very positive about myself, and thinking that this time was going to be different to all the other times that I had tried and failed to lose weight.
I was doing realy realy well up untill today when I got quite upset with myself over something stupid, and so went on a bit of a binge to try make myself feel better. I could realy kick myself, why on earth did I do it ? and only after a few days.
The weekend starts tomorrw, and for me this usually means lots of booze and junk food. I hope I can stir up the will power to get myself back on track. I`m realy enjoying SW and I realy do want to keep at it.
Sorry for the little rant, i just needed to let of a bit off steam

It's ok, everyone has their down days. Just think that tomorrow is a new day... the biggest reason why people fail diets is because they have one bad moment and then give up.

    Start fresh tomorrow!
    Start: 16st 4lbs
    Current: 14st 10lbs
    Goal: 11st 7lbs
    Club 10: 14st 9lbs
    Target for when I'm a bridesmaid in July 2012 12st 7lbs
    I just want 1 chin - not 17!

    Remember: you are human.

Emotions are tied with eating too which makes it hard, also I find when I first start a diet or restart after a break for a bit the temptation to comfort eat is miles higher. Once you're into it sometimes you can find a different food to distract you from junk

Basically don't kick yourself& just try to pull back the rest of the week if you have a slip

Been there, done that !!! I think we all have.

I now tell myself that comfort eating gives me no comfort and if I feel I want to binge I make sure I binge on SW friendly foods.

I know that sounds boring and very self righteous.... it is not meant to. It is just a fact of life for me.

Having travelled that route recently I have come out at the other end heavier and so sad that I was stupid enough to do that to myself. I want to be slimmer much more than I want the stuff that puts the weight on.

You say that this weekend you are faced with booze and junk food..........the answer is in your own hands. Either you want to lose weight or you don't.

If you have low syns during the week you could save the majority of your syns for the weekend so that you can have a drink if it is that important to you. Spirits with a sugar free mixer is not so bad but only if it is within your weekly syn allowance. You have 105 syns a week. My niece saved hers for the weekend when she would have a drink and lost 9 stones.

The junk food could be substituted for whatever the healthy option is in wherever you eat your junk food. All the big chains do healthy options now.

I found starting a food diary was so useful. It has really kept me on track this week and I know that when I get weighed on Monday I will have lost.

This is in your own hands. You know you can do it if you really want to.

Being on this diet is like being on a wagon that goes at speed then slows down, but it may even stop or go in reverse for a short time, so dont get off the wagon! If you get off, get thrown off, or lose your place, run after it! If that doesn't work, get the next immediate wagon. Fight to stay on the wagon it will take you to your destination

    Good morning.

i`m feeling so much better this morning. Yesturday was just a little blip and today i`m getting back on it.
Being slimmer is definitely more important to me than stuffing my face full of crap. It only makes me feel worse afterwards. I know this but I still go ahead and do it. Now, it`s going to stop!!

When I have a drink at the weekend it`s usually lager. So, when I go to my friends party on Saturday I`m going to swap this for vodka and diet lemonade.
I usually drink on a friday and sunday evening awsell. This realy needs to stop because that is probably a big part of the problem that I have with my weight.

Thanks for your support everyone. I`m so glad I found this forum, i honestly think that it`s going to help me to stay positive, which in turn will help me to lose the weight

Hi, glad to hear you are feeling better today, but just wanted to say that I totally understand everything you are going through - I am a classic comfort eater and the last 3 months have been SO stressful that I have REALLY struggled and not lost anything like the amount I would have done if I had not been up and down like an emotional yo-yo.

All I can say is dont give up, and even if you have a bad day, get back on track next day. I remember someone saying that if you had a bunch of 7 roses and one ws withered, you would not throw away the whole bunch because of that one bad rose, would you? You would just chuck that one out and keep the good ones - treat your bad SW days like that - if you have a bad one, put it behind you and make the rest of your week "good" days.

I love that it is an excellent philosophy.

You know you can do it. It makes sense to follow the rules,
