Do you think SW should produce ready made meals and desserts with a syn value listed?

Like WW do? I would definately by the puddings lol, i like to cook but i am not Delia or Nigella by any means and i miss my sweet tooth treats! I'd love to be able to nip to ASDA and get a ready made SW Baileys cheesecake from the freezer and do nothing but defrost and scoff knowing exactly how many syns i was having...

Just wondered if anyone else felt the same and if it would be worth contacting them?

For me, i'd prefer them not to because I don't think that's what the plan is about, you have weight watchers for easy ready meal food. Plus, if I want a sweet fix I have my curly wurlys, kit kats and new love mini choc fingers

But there was alot of debate over it, if you do a search for 'SW ready meals' or something like that you'd find it. It would make an interesting read i'm sure!!

P.s. I've found the fry lights in Morrisons, Tescos and Sainsburys.

If its just knowing what the syns are then you can already do that to some extent - either by looking up through syns online, or using the 1 syn for 20 cals rule - on stuff with no free food allowance. Very useful for cakes/desserts etc as these will invariably have no free food allowance. So I tend to look for the WW or supermarket own brand healthy choice version of puddings etc, then work out the syns that way before deciding whether its worth the syns or not. Its quite an eye opener seeing some things that are low in points on WW and what that equates to on SW syns!

Of course, what we really want is something that SW make themselves, knowing what the rules are and that they have designed to be low syn - and apparently for sauces and ready meals that is actually on the cards.

There was quite a lengthy debate about the pros and cons of this on the main forum a while back. I'm all for it, just as long as people dont make a habit of it - ready meals and sauces etc are okay every now and then, but when people start to rely on them I dont think its a good thing - I'm sure most of us should be able to find a little time most days to make things from scratch - many things dont take that much longer anyway.

BTW - the salad dressing - you are looking in the right section arent you? It's called "Salad Light" not Frylight, and its with the salad dressings etc, not the oils and stuff - so you wont find it directly next to the frylight - well, not in the stores I've bought it from anyway.

I tend to agree. When I first started SW I also asked a similar question. It kind of goes against the SW ethos. As it is I am encourage to cook and experiment with my own stuff.

I found the Balsamic and Caesar sprays in a Sainsburys in Sunderland. I assume Sainsburys stock them. I know Asda & Morrisons don't - at least not in my neck of the woods

No because the whole idea of SW is fresh healthy meals - It's easy enough to do double portions to freeze and use as ready meals for a later date. I also think it would encourage the use of ready meals which is what SW is moving away from.

If you want Ready Meals you can buy the WW ones:

Weight Watchers, Sweet & Sour Chicken with Long Grain Rice, chilled, 400g pack 4.5Syns 11syns4.5syns

Weight Watchers, Shepherds Pie with Lamb, frozen, 320g pack - 4.5 syns on all plans

Weight Watchers, Chicken Curry with Rice, frozen, 320g pack 4.5syns 9.5syns4.5syns

Weight Watchers, Mexican Chilli with Potato Wedges, frozen, 320g pack 5.5syns6syns5.5syns

Weight Watchers, Beef Lasagne, frozen, 300g pack 5syns6syns5syns

(Syn Values of Syns Online Valid on 10/08/11: Extra Easy = Orange, Green= Green Red = Red)

I don't see how SW could do any lower syn versions?

There's also the instant mug shots less than 1% fat ones are free on EE..

Apparently according to various websites it reduces sag by quite a bit so I suppose it all depends on where you want to see your boobs?! Hahahahahahahahahahaha!

If your small breasted you may get away without one but if your anything like the size of me your breasts will just be uncomfortable and get in the way without one!

Would say a decent sports bra is vital to all women doing exercise!

    you are quite right!

i did day one of the shred last night!! GRRRR check me out! It was fiiiine....

(actually i sort of slithered bonelessly up the stairs afterward, sweating like a pig, panting and wheezing and mumbling to myself about "that bloody woman" and wondered if it was possible to actually melt bones through intensive exercise.....)

Though it is now on hold until friday - unfortunately for me, a sports bra is not optional.... i dunno which got more bruised, my boobs or my chin......
