Thread: Where has it gone?

I had a thread on here about the london riots asking about those in london and how you were... it's just gone... have they deleted it without even telling me. THE CHEEK!

I think in these rather exceptional circumstances we have to bend our rules a little on politics.

Oh! Is it something to do with the rules? I did just start it to find out if everyone was doing okay but I guess opinions will follow

Just out of interest Pierce why? I was rather liking being able to go somewhere in the full knowledge i wouldn't have to see stuff about these riots, what with it being very political & sensitive.

I think the looters stole the thread, but Pierce wrestled it back!

Minimins dont allow threads on politics, the thread started off asking if things were ok etc but then people started getting into the politics, the police rights and wrongs and in general the tone was changing

It was removed temporarily for a decision to be made on whether to allow it. Had a permanent removal been made then a thread would have been opened to notify everyone.

Hi Starlight, i get why it would be banned, just wasn't sure why it was let back on!! I'm obviously in a minority of people who are bored with the whole thing

I don't like it being on the site, but....

Removing it currently is going to create more threads as you said its everywhere and members are obviously going to want to vent their feelings about it. I would rather have only 1 thread, instead of having dozzens of them created!

If it does start to go off track and end up in a flame war it will be removed immediately.

For precisely this reason i haven't. It is more to do with why the rules get bent for thhis and not other things that i was questioning.
