Thread: One Born Every Minute

Anybody else watch this?

Just watching this off sky+ now! I love it but it always has me crying so I have to watch it alone!

This series is in Leeds, the same hospital where I had both my girls and where hubby was born!

My Sw buddy's sister was also in the first episode!

I watched it once after seeing loads of things about it on FB and I have to admit it just left me cold. I cant see any appeal in it at all

I LOVE IT! I was so excited last week when it was back on. It makes me cry my eyes out too!

I also LOVE this programme, and it never fails to make me cry. I genuinely get really caught up in all their stories and I find it interesting to see how births are handled in hospitals etc. Lots of girls I know have said it's made them scared to have kids but tbh it's actually comforted me a bit! Not that I plan on having any for a little while

I feel exactly the same. A lot of friends say they were freaked out by it all but its defnitely made me feel better about it.

I love this too, but absolutely have to watch it on my own as it's a total blub fest for me. Having had 2 kids it's just so real and raw - the ultimate reality tv. Love it!

I like to watch it, I could slap some of the fathers!

I loooooove watching this... Some of the women crack me up haha and the Dads especially lasts week dad tosser of the century!!!

It also makes me cry like last week, I too like that young girl didn't even get to see my baby... She was delivered by c section given straight to peadatrics who called in the crash team and she was resuscitated she wasn't breathing for around 2/3 minutes .... Next thing she was gone :-(
Thgt we had lost her - I went off to recovery then nurse came in saying she was on ventilators in special care .....
Well the rest is history :-)))))) she's 14 months old now and you wouldn't even know she had such a horrible start in life , she's small but lively!! Lol

This programme brings it home sometimes just how blessed we are to have our little miracle :-)))

I adore this show, makes me cry every time. It is amazing to see the full range of emotions that people go through, and always makes me feel better about the noise I made when I had my boy as was def not as loud as some of them! x

Looking forward to watching this again tonight - was so excited last week when it re-started, even though it always makes me teary

Just watched this weeks. Sat here blurting like a baby!

God it's fab, although it scares me to death when the babes have to be taken off to have their airways cleared - even though I know full well they wouldn't show anything bad on tv!

Anybody think the 'fashionable' couple were really weird and he was sooo gay??

Oh he was definitely in the closet , camp as christmas, and did you see her straightening her hair? Coped brilliantly with the birth, though, fair play to her.
Kerry had me in stitches, what HAD they doped her up with?
Kerry (in a slurry voice) : "what am I doing?
Midwife: "you're pushing your baby out, Kerry"

They were very odd indeed. Made me a little bit uncomfortable watching them, and he was doing my head in... "everything's perfect! I'm so proud of you." Not awful things to say, but the way he was saying them was just weird!

God I don't feel such a cow now!!

And yes, straightening her hair ! No love, you do still look like you've been through labour!! But yes she did cope well.

What was he on about the dancing round in embroidered dressing gowns?! Poor kid when he comes out!!

Yep, he was definitely a little bizarre! I was so impressed with her though and how calm and peaceful her birth was. Having given birth to two babies myself though, getting out hair straighteners was not top of my to do list!
