    WANT!

thinking "this is for when I have lost *.* lbs"

I've never seen a knitting pattern I want to make for myself as much as I want this one.

I am wondering, would it be short sighted to buy the pattern and make it in... say.. a size 14-16?! (I'm currently an 18-20 in knitting patterns, 22-26 in sewing because vanity sizing has never caught on in sewing patterns lol)

    o w l s | needled

the time, materials and pattern are an investment.... but I reckon I can do it for about £30 ish. god knows how long it'd take me to knit the thing, but I love cables and am good at them...!

but is buying it all now a bad idea? or should I wait? I'm losing at a fairly steady rate which is nice, but sitll have no idea how long it'll take to hit a size 14.

I'm going to keep an eye out for yarn deals. the lady who wrote the pattern should be emailing me back soon, I had to write to her ecause she's given the yarn in yardage, not weight, but in the uk most yarn is sold by weight not yardage lol.

You should deffo go for it. Plus, if you're knitting you'll have no spare hand to eat delicious biscuits with, haha. Bonus!

What a clever pattern. A bit too ambitious for me. Hope you do make it,you will have to have the cute plait too for full effect !

oh of course, the plait is a must
I'll be taking a 4-6 week break from 27th feb because of a hand operation, but aparently knitting is one of the best forms of physio for my particular post op recovery, so that's a bonus lol.

and cables look REALLY complex, but they're honestly not.

A friend of mine posted this on fb & I love it.

I don't think it will be too difficult to make & yes I'd make it now, it gives you something to do with your hands instead of eating.

I've got some cotton wool & looking for a nice lace top to make, but just can't see what I fancy. I also want to knit a dress, but can't see what I like, it doesn't help I've no idea what I want

I'm sure you're right,as all knitters say that ! Did buy a cabling needle a few weeks ago. A friend has offered to teach me . I really should learn as it would open up a whole new world of patterns to me. !!!!
