    non-food pick me ups

I am trying to find non-food pick me ups to make myself feel better. after reading about Kool Aid hair dye online, I got thinking. many people mention that koolaid dyed hair is sticky, even when dry... so why not just use the dye part of the mixture and do the method the same?

So I've bought some of concentrated food colouring powders, have rubber gloves, once they arrive I'm gonna have rainbow tips on my hair AND if it doesn't work, I have a nice box of brown dye waiting in my bathroom lol. I will do it as soon as the dyes arrive.

what is your favorite non food pick me up?

I'm confused lol, I so don't understand your post Sorry, I'm a natural blonde, so I do tend to have these moments.

Anyway, keeping on topic..When I'm feeling low or need a bit of a pick-me-up, I do my nails I do gel/acrylics in my spare time, so I can do my own whenever I feel. Having them done makes me feel sooo much better - especially when they are bright pink and covered in lots of sparkles

I put enough makeup on to look like i'm in drag.

Then I go out and scare kids.

Flibs, no experience with the kool aid hair dye but in my punk years I did use sugar to keep my hawk up. It was rank! Used to attract bees and all kinds. Wouldn't reccommend it!

After all the time I've dyed my hair, I've never ever come accross the Kool Aid method. It sounds a bit icky to me, but good luck!

that's why I'm using powdered food dye instead of koolaid. it's just the dye. no sugar, nothing else but the good, old fashioned, coloured chemicals lol.

I'm a keen amateur photographer, so if my legs are behaving themselves I'll take the camera out and see what I can find to snap. I especially love street photography and real close up stuff....so if you spot someone lurking in nottingham watching people in the square, or see someone lens deep in a daisy - say hi, it's probably me !

I go through catalogues or online designer sites and decide what dress to buy when I'm slim!

I get my beads and pliers out and make something pretty to wear, earrings take five minutes and necklaces/bracelets a couple hours.
At the mo I'm making Organza flower brooches to be sold at a Sally Army shop and of course I need one of each colour too!

I have a body buffing session so I shave, exfoliate, pluck, wax, bleach, trim, myself to death!!!

Or I dive into a pile of books and get lost!

I usually like doing the usual pampering session but it is soooo cold at the moment I don't even want to move. Doesn't help that our heating is broken. I have this little heater thing in my room at the moment, but it's really loud and annoying so I don't know what I'm going to do overnight!!

If not pampering, I like to look on funny websites, watch trashy TV. For a real pick me up I like to dye my hair as well, but I'm quite liking the colour it is at the moment.

I also get my eyebrows waxed every six weeks or so, I just can't do it properly myself and I always chicken out. Why is it that one eyebrow is always much more painful than the other!? I always wimp out and do the less painful one first even though I know I should do it the other way round.

I like peelable face masks, too, the ones that are so satisfying to peel off afterwards.
