What are your SW Lifesavers?

What are the things that get you through those days where you just want to give in to those family sized bags of chocolate bites, hot buttered white bread or chips and dips?

I am coming to the end of my first month of SW and am fine at the minute but I know a time will come when my resolve will wither and die - as it has on and off over the last 10 years!

What do you successful SW dieters turn to in your moments of crisis?

I have a French Fancy. They're 5 Syns each I think, maybe 5.5 and they're so sweet I can only manage one but they do the trick if I'm craving sweets and chocolate.

I love the SW chips too much to have to worry about a savoury option, though a lot of my Syns do go on an extra bit of cheese now and then. I love the stuff!

Mmmm. French Fancies, I'm too greedy for those mouth sized morsels! I don't have the resolve to resist the rest of the box!! Seem good value for the syns though.

Frozen grapes. They really hit my spot lol and they are freeeeeeeeee!!!! Also curly wurly and WW extra thick cream. It's 2syns for a blob and turns even boring fruit salad into something luxurious!!! I also LOVE the aero mousse desert mix (like angel delight) I make it up with my Hex of milk and it comes in under 2 syns for a bowlful. (mix it with a chopped banana and a crushed alpen for a BIG bowl of naughty pud lol) it's perfect for after Sunday roast when the rest of the family tuck into a fudge cake!!!

Oooooo - I've got some Aero mix in the cupboard! I know what I'll be having when the kids have gone to bed tomorrow!

I had banana with a crushed digestive and toffee mullerlight today and was chuffed with that - but this might just top my pudding list now!

Also discovered Low Low cheese spread HEXa and 10 melba toasts is a very low syn cheese and biscuits for those savory weak moments.

Don't you just LOVE SW??

Yum!

I found the digestive crumbled into a mullerlight was good too and must get some of the aero mix too

Are melba toast nice?

Small nestle milky bars at 3.5 syns, have one after my salad that's been chilling in the fridge so I can nibble it for ages. Literally gets me through my afternoons at work!!

Mars ice creams are amazing for a chocolate fix (6.5 syns) and almost nicer than real mars bars.

If I need sugar I'll have a small amount (25-30g) chocolate or curly wurly.

If I'm craving fatty foods then I dip a piece of wholemeal bread in a mixture of 1 teaspoon of olive oil mixed with balsamic vinegar or put it on salad and sometimes take omega 3 fish oil supplements.

If I'm generally just hungry then free-soup and a glass of skimmed milk (which I have with nesquik for 3 syns, but if you like milk could just have for free!) seem to suppress my appetite quite well.

Mini milk lollies are only 2.5 syns and are a good substitute when my OH is tucking into Ben and Jerrys!!
Crabsticks are a godsend for me as well

Pink n Whites - wafer with marshmallow inside! Yum!

I like Melba toast, they are only small but are nice and savoury. They take a long time to chew so it seems more substantial!

Mini Milk ice creams! Only 1.5 syns each, i always keep some in my freezer so i know if i need a quick fix i have something!

Has to be the velevet crunch crisps, i love my crisps and at only 4 syns a pack i can quite happily have packet every evening and still be well within my daily syn allowance

I've heard a lot about these, I must look out for some.

Thanks x

Curly Wurlys (6 syns)...I get through loads of these. Hard from the fridge and broken up they last ages and feel like really naughty.
Mini Twister ice lollies (2.5 syns) are great sunny day treats.
Gin (2.5 syns 25ml) with loads of lime, ice and slimline tonic.
Small wholemeal tin loaves. Much prefer to slice and weigh fresh bread (60g 1 HexB) than use the teeny hovis slices...eaten with Marmite :-D
