Fridge freezers - lying them down for transport?.....
What's the rule here? I've googled it and got several different answers, I bought a new one from tesco but its just too small (cry)
It's going back on fri and I'm getting desperate, wasting so much free food!
There's a 2nd hand one on eBay only 15 miles away for much less than any new ones but without getting a van, could I transport in a car with seats down and let stand before turning on or us it a no no?

Ive been told you need to let it stand for 24 hours for ther gases but personally if I couldnt wait I would let it stand for a few hours. You probably get more expert replies.

We moved house last year and the only way we could transport our fridge freezer was by laying it down. We let it stand for about 6 hours (would've done longer but we had stuff in the freezer!!) and it was fine, and touch wood it still is!
