Slow cooker safety?
Just looking at a few slow cooker threads and I was inspired to get one. My question is do you leve the cooker on when you leave the house? Like with no supervision?(I know it's not a toddler but...)
I wouldn't generally leave an appliance on and it's just a cheapy one from tescos.
Just wondering if I'll come home to a lovely stew but no house!!
I have a £7 ASDA one and at least 4 times a week we leave it running all day while we are out at work. It's usually on from around 7am til 7pm and we've never had a problem with it.
Yeah same here. On all day with no probs
Me too, all works out fine, if you are unsure use it whilst you are around at first, just to get used to it, they are brill & a must in all households!!!!!
Me too! Love my slow cooker :-)
Mine is usually on from 6 30am until I get home around 5 on a low heat - never had any problems at all
Thanks everyone. I left it on and it was fine. Turns out I still don't like stew but that's more my fault then the slow cookers ;)
You need to add much more seasoning to anything you put in a slow cooker stew wise, and don't add as much liquid. The veg always makes it watery if you add too much stock and all the flavours disappear somehow!
