    Slow cooker safety?

    Hi all,
Just looking at a few slow cooker threads and I was inspired to get one. My question is do you leve the cooker on when you leave the house? Like with no supervision?(I know it's not a toddler but...)
I wouldn't generally leave an appliance on and it's just a cheapy one from tescos.
Just wondering if I'll come home to a lovely stew but no house!!

I have a £7 ASDA one and at least 4 times a week we leave it running all day while we are out at work. It's usually on from around 7am til 7pm and we've never had a problem with it.

Thanks everyone. I left it on and it was fine. Turns out I still don't like stew but that's more my fault then the slow cookers
    Thanks again

You need to add much more seasoning to anything you put in a slow cooker stew wise, and don't add as much liquid. The veg always makes it watery if you add too much stock and all the flavours disappear somehow!
