Hi there, know its a long shot but if there are any of you out there HI lets chat! I'm desperately trying to choose a decent jogging playlist for myself but refuse to download "Extreme workout CD" with chart music on. Any suggestions on good workout tracks? I'm thinking SLayer and stuff but maybe to fast for a beginner haha! X

Not tried jogging to any - but thinking maybe Iron Maiden eg. Bring your Daughter and funnily enough Run to the Hills!! Motorhead (Ace of Spades) might be a jogging induced heart attack too far!!! Not a huge Metal fan (only dipping the occasional toe) but have a fairly eclectic taste in music.

Not sure if it will be too light for you - but maybe Marilyn Manson?

ahh see I've been googling it for a while now (I'm very bored at work) and Iron Maiden keeps popping up. Unfortunately I hate them but can understand why they would be good for workouts, they're epic enough haha

I have been known to jog to Motorheads overkill. I'll see what else i can think of on my drive home

I like five finger death punch ( lead singer is tasty) , Meatloaf, and seen stereophonics a few times in concert, (originally from the mountain across from where I live) , There is a running cd out, there are a few cracking songs on that. :) x

My oh is a massive heavy metal fan, he makes me listen to it! Lol

metallica/lamb of god/ slayer/ iron maiden/ just a few on his playlist when he's jogging

I'm very much a Lamb of God person when I'm exercising :D

I used to work out to a mix of stuff on my iPod including Gojira, Carcass, Meshuggah (irregular beats but it does work!), Decapitated, Mastodon, Strapping Young Lad, Shining (Norwegian Shining, not Swedish Shining)... list goes on. Looking forward to getting back to the gym one day, I'm slightly obsessed with extreme/death/black metal and grind and I listen to most of it when I'm either walking or working out. ;) If you want any specific track recommendations let me know and I'll copy and paste my playlist in. x

Not heard of them, no. What sort of thing? One of the guys at my gym used to occasionally play Mötley Crüe and AC/DC for spin but a bit too classic rock for me hehe ;)

Yeah this band are kind of Metalcore - Metal Hammer audience but he promised plenty of Death metal so I'd be happy. I used to work for Terrorizer and write for a couple of other magazines now so I'm forever at gigs! X

Seriously? That's awesome! I bet I know of you then, used to read Terrorizer regularly. Unfortunately it's been lost in my pre-baby cutbacks, as was my trip to Damnation this year :( :( Missing seeing Katatonia, The Ocean and Shining about did me in but it's all for baby so worth it and we'll hopefully be back on it in a few years ;) x
