any advice on weight gaining shakes for men?

    Morning all

perhaps a strange request but hoping someone can help. My OH has lost a lot of weight and is looking terrbible. Not through dieting or anything, he has just always been lean but of late has dropped weight. He does a lot of manual work so i can understand him being lean with all the activity but even he is now noticing how slim he is.
He eats his lunch which just consists of sandwiches, crisps and biscuit then has a dinner. I was going to suggest some shakes for him as i think he is a lazy eater and thinking a shake could be drank on the way to work as he is so busy that sometimes he eats when working. Someone recommended a shake but am sure they were geared towards body building and had steroids or something to that effect in them

i was just looking for somethign that I could buy with the weekly shop (if possible) that bascially helps to gain weight?

You can buy build up shakes from tesco and other supermarkets but I'm not really sure how they are supposed to be used if they supplement a normal diet or replace some meals? Maybe do some googling, should be able to find some answers there x

Hello not to alarm u but maybe a wee trip to a pharmacist or Dr could be needed? Just to check everything is ok as unintentional week loss (especially a lot/over a short time) should be checked out!x

oh i know i said the same thing. He has had a lot of work and stress on and he says that is the reason. He is going to weigh in tonight so that we can keep an eye on it. This happened before but i know that is no excuse about not seeing the Doc. Apart from dragging him there i will need to get him to get an appiontment. Thank you
