New Year Commitments

Ok so its that time of year AGAIN when we are full of good intentions of how (after Christmas) we are going to get back on track and make positive changes. Instead of resolutions this year (because we all know how long they last) I am posting my list of things that I am going to commit to doing one at a time :D What are yours?

2014 I will:

Maintain my target weight!

Continue to support others!

Work on my self confidence and not let others drag me down!

Run my first half marathon!

Not too many I can always add more on as I go but don't want to overload myself unrealistically.

I am committed to going back to group on 2nd Jan :)

I am also going to say no to more things than I did this year so I am not so busy and going to focus on me and hubby

May add to these but at the moment they are my priorities!

I am going to commit to getting to my target before my birthday (got roughly 3 stone I think in 7 months)

I am going to commit to training properly and running the Great North Run for my sons charity.

I am also going to do some things just for myself like learn to drive and consider going back to college if my son is well enough.

I am SUPER committed to going to Alton Towers haha. last time I went it was hit or miss if I could actually fit on the rides, this time will be amazing not having to worry.

Well done I am hoping to do GNR too so may see you there!

Ah fab, if you see a fat lass at the back chasing a chocolate fudge alpen light bar over the finish line, that'll be me haha .x.

I am going to commit to getting to target (7lbs to go) and maintaining.

I am going to commit to not spending in the shops every day and wasting money on things I dont need!!

I am going to commit to making sure I have at least one night out a month with OH even if it is only for a bar meal

Commit when I rejoin on 1 january
eats lots of super free
Get under 13stone by my 10th wedding anniversary in April
get to within 1 stone of target by my birthday in July
be happy.

I'm going to commit to trying my best to get to target, I have messed around so bloody much for years now saying 'this is my year'. Hopefully this is the LAST time :)

Also, I'm going to try and learn to say no to a few people!

Brill thread, thanks Gillybops, I love the 'commit' rather than NY resolutions which I've never done, I just don't get it!!!!

I'm going to commit to:-
Staying in target all year, rather than gaining too much at holiday time
Stay positive & happy
Make sure me & OH enjoy our time together

Ooh thank you for this! I already have 5 things i want to do in 2014 (resolutions so don't work lol)

Sooo....

I commit to:

Trying to get as close to target by next december as possible so i can enjoy my holiday without stressing about what other people think of the little round thing by the pool
Clear all my debts and start saving some money, not wasting money on crap i don't need!
Try and get to the gym at least twice a week (hopefully more but twice is what i need for it not to be a waste of money)
Socialise with friends twice a month (i'm a hermit and have become very very good at it)
I should probably learn to drive lol :p

OO Ive got another one.

This year I want to be able to ride a bike. I can do it, but had an accident when I was younger and havent been back on one since. We live right on the coast and its a lovely place to cycle and I just can't take advantage of it. That will change this year!

Ooh that's a good one! I broke my arm and leg falling off a bike when I was 10 and now they scare me lol
But a few friends go on bike rides, would be nice not to jut wave them off and actually join them :)

Good luck chick :D x

Great idea for a thread...

- I want to finally get to my target weight of 10 Stone. I did so well and got SO CLOSE in 2012 but have messed about this year on and off and put nearly 1.5 stone back on. I know I can do it, I just need to find my willpower and not let one bad day put me off. I get married in May so want to be very nearly there by then.

- I want to exercise more. Not going to say a specific goal because I say it all the time and I know what I'm like. I don't even necessarily mean full on workouts but just moving more eg. going for walks instead of sitting at the computer/in front of the tv

- I want to contribute to Mini-mins more. I'd love to be more involved but I find it hard commenting on posts, especially when people already seem to know one another so well!

- Say yes to going out with friends from work more. I've become a bit of a loner. I never feel like going out but whenever I do I end up having a good time!

- I want to read more. I used to love reading when I was younger and then kind of got out of the habit. Having my Kindle makes it easier now and I've already kind of started this one. Read nearly 6 books in the last couple of months, which is more than I've read in years!

I'm sure there's more I want to do but these are the things that immediately came to me!
