Sooo embarrassed

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd share this with you all as it's given me a massive kick up the backside to stick to slimming world! I stupidly had a month off over Xmas and put on 10lb, how disgusting is that?? I've lost it again so back to my 1 and a half stone loss over all. Yesterday I was stood outside a hospital (my brother was in for a minor op so I took him there) having a cigarette (dirty habit I know) and a man came up to me and asked if I was pregnant. I'm not pregnant neither do I think I look pregnant however it's really shocked me as I've never been asked that before! It's been playing on my mind since although I should just let it go. I'm never wearing my dress and tights again, sticking to my jeans and jumpers I think!

Try not to be embarrassed by it, I wouldn't take it personally and I definitely wouldn't stop wearing the outfit, you most likely don't look pregnant at all, he sounds like someone (who clearly lacks any humour!) just thinking they're being clever and funny  what an idiot!

It sounds like you're doing great, well done on losing that 10lb and 1.5st in total, keep up the good work. :) xxxx

Thanks both! I've tried not to let it get to me but it has. I can't believe someone could be so rude!!

There are loads of people out there who think they can say just what they like. I don't know why - I would never dream of doing it. You just can't let what some nutter says get to you!

The other day someone saw me putting on some lip gloss and said "really, we're a bit old for that sort of thing now, aren't we?". And I am very pleased that I resisted the temptation to say "you might be but I'm not", just ignored her and got the mascara out!

The bloke just sounds like an idiot who doesn't know about boundaries. I was asked me on at least 3 occasions and I know how awful it feels. But really only a total idiot would ask that question. The last person who said it to me (a bloke of course, who I did not know) I said as much to him and made him feel dreadful. :)
Some people like that woman who made the snide comment about the lipstick was just clearly jealous and out to upset people.
Some people as just evil!
Get that dress on, and parade around!

Although he was extremely rude, maybe he was only asking because you were smoking (and he'd probably have given you a good talking to about being a bad mother, smoking whilst pregnant)?

As for lip gloss... never too old to look after yourself, have pride in yourself and have the amazing will power not to poke them in the eye with the mascara brush!!!
