As the title suggests, i'm looking for book recommendations. I think i have finally got bored of TV, nothing on but drivel!

So...what are you reading? xx

Well, the short (and unhelpful) answer to that is - my Kindle! I have amassed so many books on my Kindle because I can't resist their 99p offers, so I am making myself actually read them!

Recenty I have been re-reading a number of the Spenser novels of Robert B. Parker, which I have loved for years. I was so sad when he died. I may re-read the Jesse Stone novels too, but at the moment I am enjoying watching the films on Saturdays on Channel 5, with Tom Selleck, and as they differ a bit from the novels I will just get confused if I do both!

At the moment I am reading "The Blue Zone" by Andrew Gross - apparently he has co-authored books with James Patterson. It is an interesting story about a family whose father, while apparently upright and honest, was really nothing of the kind, and what happens when the FBI catches up with him. Unfortunately it is not well written, and I am not sure that I will finish it.

I have been reading some novels by Kerry Wilkinson about a policewoman called Jessica Daniel. These are really good.

I have read all of Trollope's Barsetshire novels twice, but never could get on with the Palliser novels. However, now they are repeating the television series on BBC2, I might give them another try. The television series may be forty years old, but it is brilliant! And I can get all six novels on my Kindle for the amazing price of £1.29 for the lot! Now, that's a bargain.

I'm just finishing reading the Lord John series which is a spin off from The Outlander series both of which I've thoroughly enjoyed. I'd also like to read Conn Iggulden's series about Genghis Khan, but that will have to wait as I'm now back on the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett, he is a wonderful author such a way with words & a fantastic imagination, I've about 20 books yet to read, but most are only about 200 pages so that's not too bad. I'm taking 4 books on holiday with me & I hope to get through at the least 2 of them!!!

What kind of thing do you like reading?

I always used to read Stephen King and Paulo Coehlo books (vast difference lol) or reference books, but I'm open to most things other than romance. Hubby has all of Pratchetts books, along with Terry Brooks and David someone or other along the same lines.
I've been thinking of trying him out as I've never read them and he loves them (plus we already own them so free!) as do millions of others.

If I can find it free on kindle or at the library that would be fab. I'm hoping to start with one book a week :) x
