What excersize equipment do u have at home? I know I can join a gym but with kiddies it's hard to find time so thought of getting something for home. Would love a treadmill but for a decent one I need a few hundred pounds what do people have/recommend

I bought a cross trainer off ebay for £15. Not sure how much it will help but it can't hurt.

Hi there!

I have a weighted hula hoop (£15 Argos), a skipping rope (<£5 Argos), hand weights (<£20 Amazon) and a couple of DVDs I bought off Amazon for not very much (Nell McAndrew's "Ultimate Challenge, Ultimate Results", Yogalates for Weight Loss and Jillian Michael's "30 Day Shred").

I tend to sign up to races and train for them through running and have recently become the biggest ever fan-girl of spin classes/boxing circuits as I find you get much better results when you've something to aim for (a race) or someone encouraging you to push yourself harder (a class instructor). However, I use the hula hoop and handweights loads around the house to try and tone up my tummy and bingo wings.

I think for the price of a treadmill, you're just better to go for a run out your front door! Could you try and find 30 mins in your routine, maybe first thing in the morning or have someone watch the kids? The C25K programme is fab and is how I started :)

I managed to get an exercise bike off freecycle... i also have a kinect fitness workout for the xbox. I alternate every other day between the bike and xbox. I hav a 2 yr old so know what u mean about finding time.

I dont use any, but I do the 30 day plank and 30 day squat challenge every day with a day rest after every 3 days. It works. Just pop into google squat and plank challenge and it will pop up in images :) saves a fortune too x

My husband uses his xbox 360 and has various different workout discs for it. I just use my wii and do either wii fit or a dance one. I feel better as it just raises my heart rate. X

I have a cross trainer which I never use, a vibrating plate which also doesn't get used, an ab circle which gets used now and again. A machine which tones your thighs which is really difficult so never gets used and an exercise bike which I use every day.

The 30 day shred is great because you dont need alot of room, i manage to do it in a tiny space by the side of my bed. Not sure if that will work for higher levels as i'm only on the first one x

I hule hoop with a weighted hoop and it's fab!

My partner has just ordered a stand for his mountain bike so, when he gets in too late to go out on his normal bike, he can exercise on it while it's stationary. Might give it a go too!
