Actifrys - are they any good?

Hi all,
Thinking about getting a tefal acti fry as they are on offer at a store nearby from work, are they any good and what kind of things do you cook in them?

I had 3 all 3 went on fire so stopped replacing them...too risky

I used to love mine until it melted

We use ours daily. It's been replaced a few times but we invested in instant replacement cover for £25 which has paid for itself many times over. I'd be lost without it

We bought the actifry 2in1 as theres a site giving £100 off which made it £180, so more expensive than the other models but aswell as being able to do chips, roasts etc i have a plate that does meat and fish too, tbh i do everything on it now and hardly touch my oven at all, it does amazing fry ups with no need for frylight Tefal & Slimming World exclusive offer

Love mine. Great slimming world chips, so evenly crispy on the outside. And synfree sausages too. Have done stirfries and everything in it. If you get one, Come back here and we can share ideas!

Thanks for everyone's feedback I have just bought one and the chips are cooking away as we speak!! And I will do there is apparently an actifry app with lots of recipes on that going to look tonight x

If your doing your chips with frylight, i do. Open it even 5-7mins and spray the chips again, makes then so crispy and also i'd say to wash the starch off your raw potatoes and path dry before putting them in the airfryer.

I also have the Philips Airfyer - seems to be much more reliable than the Actifry.

It also looks nicer I think!

Had mine about 4/5 years and its brilliant.
