Hi Everyone I used to go to a morning group but I am rejoining in january and the day of the morning group doesn't suit me so I will be joining an evening group its either 5.30 or 7.30.
Lately someone said to me that if I join an evening group ill never loose weight as ill probably be 5lbs heavier in the evening times than the morning times.
Surely people who weigh at evening groups still loose weight at their weigh in? Can anyone weighing after 5pm please let me know xx
Thanks everyone :) xx :)

Of course people who get weighed in the evenings lose weight! I would think that the majority of classes are held in the evenings. What your friend has said is rubbish.

What may well happen is that in your first week of evening weighing you may find you have a gain. Many people weigh more in the evening than they do in the morning.

If, during the course of the day, you eat food which weighs, say, one and a half pounds, you will probably weigh one and a half pounds more in the evening than you did in the morning (depending of course on how often you go to the loo!)

But this will sort itself out after a week or so of evening weighings and you will be back into your normal routine of losses.

Just prepare yourself for the likelihood of a gain to start with, remind yourself that it is just temporary, and don't let illogical people panic you!

I weigh in at a 5:30 group. And I can confidently say I am losing weight :) Some people hardly eat before weigh in, but I just carry on as normal, and try to eat similar things each week. My last snack at work is usually about 3:45, and I go straight to group from work. On average I lose about 1.5lb a week, and I think it all evens out over the month any way.

Yes Ive lost weight and weigh-in at 7.30, and eat normally that day too. I lost 3.5lbs my first week too x

Absolutely! I have always weighed in the evenings and I've lost five stone!
